Vaibhav Fellowship for NRI: The Department of Science and Technology has introduced the Vaibhav Fellowship for the Indian Diaspora. The government aims to provide a better Higher Educational and Scientific Institution research system through the program. All diasporas who want to get selected for the DST Vaibhav Fellowship should consider applying. The fellowship program is conducted every year. The application process is conducted twice every year.

Vaibhav Fellowship for NRI

The fellowship program will be conducted online, and no offline application will be considered. In case any applicants submit it offline, then it will be rejected. The fellowship program will now be conducted for the 2024 session. The officials have also mentioned the dates on which the application process will be concluded. The first cycle of the application was concluded on 31st July, and the second cycle will conclude on 31st January.

Eligibility for Vaibhav Fellowship for NRI

Here, we are providing the eligibility set by the selection committee. Only those candidates will be considered for the program who will fulfil all eligibilities mentioned below:

Eligibility for Scientists:

• Interested applicants must be NRI, PIO and OCI to apply for the fellowship. They must be living abroad currently.
• Candidates must have completed a Ph.D./ M.D/M.S. program from a recognized university/ institute.
• Interested candidates should be a researcher engaged in an overseas academic / research / industrial organization provided under the top 500 QS World University Ranking.
• Aspirants must have a plan to pursue any research work for at least one month to 2 months in a year.
• Interested users must submit their proposals only once a year.

Eligibility for Institutions:

• Any Higher Educational institution that is ranked in the Top 200 in NIRF.
