Search IGRS AP Encumbrance Certificate at registration.ap.gov.in
As already stated, the IGRS portal allows citizens to search for their encumbrance certificates on the portal. Citizens can follow these steps to search for their Encumbrance certificate on the IGRS portal.
Step 1: Go to the official website of the Andhra Pradesh Registration and Stamps Department. The details of the official website link are available in this post.
Step 2: As you land on the home page of the portal, citizens will see a Service Section available on the page. An option of Encumbrance Certificate will be available under the Service section. Click on that option.
Step 3: Clicking on the option, a new Instruction page will open up. Read all the instructions listed on the page and tap on the submit button.
Step 4: On the new page citizens will have to click on the option of ‘Search for Encumbrance‘. Clicking on the option, citizens will have to set up criteria for their Encumbrance Search. Citizens can search their EC through Memo No./ Document No., year of registration, or none (in case both of them are not present).
Step 5: Choose any of the three options to start your search. Enter the appearing Captcha Code and tap on the Submit button available on the page.

How to apply for AP Encumbrance Certificate Online?
As stated citizens can avail themselves of various Encumbrance e-services on the IGRS portal. So, citizens who want to apply for an EC can follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official portal of the Registration and Stamp Department, Andhra Pradesh. As you land on the home page, citizens will have to click on the option of Encumbrance Certificate available on the page.
Step 2: Clicking on the option, users will be directed to the page where the Encumbrance statement will be laid down. Citizens must read the whole statement before proceeding further. Post-reading the complete statement, click on the Submit button available on the page.
Step 3: On the newly open page, applicants will be on the page Encumbrance Search. First-time users can register themselves. Insert the owner’s name, mobile no., verification ID, Aadhar details, address details, e-mail, etc.
Step 4: Candidates can now search for their Encumbrance with document no., memo no. or none. Clicking on any of the three options, applicants will also have to enter some additional details. Enter the details as required, an appearing captcha code, and click on the Submit button.

The status of the application is visible through the official IGRS portal only. So, applicants who wish to check the status of their application can follow these steps:
Step 1: On the home page of the IGRS AP portal, citizens will have to click on the option of Online EC available on the website. Clicking on the option, a new page will open on the website.
Step 2: On the open page, applicants will have to enter their User ID and Password. Entering the User Id and Password details, applicants will also have to insert the captcha code visible on the page. Inserting all the details click on the Submit button.
Step 3: Upon submission, users will see the option of Encumbrance Certificate available on the page. Click on the option.
Step 4: Enter the required details including the registration number, SRO number, etc. Inserting all the details click on the submit button. Your EC status will be visible on the page. Citizens can check their status.
Get a Copy of the Encumbrance Certificate
To get a copy of your Encumbrance Certificate, open the IGRS AP portal. Visiting the portal, citizens can follow these steps:
- Open the home page of the portal and click on the option of Online EC.
- On the open page, enter the details like registration year, document no., district name, etc. Enter the captcha code and click on Submit.
- On the open page, citizens will be able to download a copy of their encumbrance certificate online.
