  7. To claim a seat under the rural quota in KCET 2020, recently we came to know that with the Rural Study certificate from 1st to 10 std, we must submit a verification certificate that parents of the candidate should not come under the creamy layer, for General Category, we came to know that parents income must be less than 8.0 LPA, for 3 years.

We applied for an Income certificate and Non creamy layer certificate, our Income is as below:
    2017-18 :- Rs.9.13 L ( Total Gross income) and Rs. 7.78 L ( total Taxable Income) As per ITR
    2018- 19 :- Rs. 9.00 L ( T G I ) and Rs.8.13 L ( T T I)
    2019-20 :- Rs. 7.97 L ( T G I ) and Rs.6.97 L ( T T I )

So, we applied for a certificate to the concerned department by submitting the last year ITR, legally is it okay if we get certificates, and shall we claim rural quota without any legal disputes in the future.

We request your Advice, thanks, and regards, nagraj

  8. Annual salary of 8 lacs does not come into the picture for students whose parents are Govt employees.
If both parents are group 2/ class 2 or class 1 employees, you are OBC CL.
Or if they have been promoted to Group 2 or 1 after age 40, you are OBC CL.
Don’t fool yourself with 8 Lac criteria
