The major aim of the Maharashtra government behind the development of the MahaDBT online portal is to ensure the effective implementation of all the schemes and that the scheme’s beneficiaries are provided aid directly without involving any middlemen. Thus enhancing transparency in disseminating the benefits provided by the government.
MahaDBT Scholarships 2023
Interested students can apply for this scholarship via the Official Mahadbt portal. Currently, it provides post-matric scholarships to students who have completed 10th standard and are residents/ domiciles of Maharashtra. The portal is also providing renewal of the Scholarships.

MahaDBT Scholarships and Eligibility
Students who are domiciled in Maharashtra are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Candidates wishing to get this scholarship must have completed class 10 from any recognized board. You must have passed your SSC/ Matriculate from a recognized College/ Institution to claim the scholarship schemes under the mentioned departments and universities.
Department of Social Justice & Special Assistance
This department provides financial assistance to students for completing their education. The scholarship is provided to students with family incomes below 2.5 lakh/ year. Required Documents for MahaDBT Scholarship
Before the students finally apply for the scholarship, students will be required to fill in the details of some documents. Here, we have made a list of documents you will need so you can keep them handy before applying for the scholarship. To complete your application, you will need:
- Aadhar Card
- SSC and HSC certificates
- Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate (If required)
- Mark sheet of the previous year’s exam
- Fee Receipt
- Certification from the college (to ensure your enrollment in an institution)
- CAP allotment letter (for scholarships offered by Dept. of Higher Education & Dept. of Technical Education)
- Hostel Certificate (If required)
Online Registration Process of MahaDBT
STEP 1: The students interested in the scholarship can apply through the Aaple Sarkar MahaDBT portal. Click on the New Applicant Registration tab, which is also depicted below:
STEP 2: You will be directed to the Next page, where you must fill in your Name, Username, and Password. Verify the email address and the Mobile number with the OTP received through your mail and phone number.
STEP 3: After completing the process of verification. Click on the ‘Register’ icon when you verify your email and phone number.
STEP 4: After this, you will be redirected to the Applicant login, where you will be logged in automatically. You must enter the text and click on the ‘Login Here’ tab.
STEP 5: After this, you will be asked if you possess an Aadhar number. If yes, click Yes and fill in your Aadhar Number. Choose Authentication Type as OTP. Verify your OTP.
STEP 6: As you verify and complete the verification process, you will be redirected to the next page, where all the scholarships will be listed. Click on the ‘Apply’ icon with the scholarship you want to apply for.
STEP 7: Fill in all the details required. The suggested scholarship will appear on your screen. Fill in the details and Submit.
