Earth Day Speech Sample
Hello Everyone,
Today all of us have gathered here to celebrate Earth Day. It is a time when we think about how valuable our Earth is and promise to take action to keep it safe. If we take a look at our surroundings where we are living, we will be looking towards a planet which is facing unusual challenges. The Earth is in danger because of things like air pollution, trees being cut down too much, and garbage filling up the ocean leading to environmental pollution. This is hurting plants and animals and making it hard for them to survive. However, humans are not helpless to tackle these problems.
Every one of us has the power and role to protect our home and make this planet a sustainable one. The changes can be done by taking small measures whether by speaking up for new rules or getting involved with others in our communities. To keep the Earth safe, it’s really important that we start using less energy and make less pollution. Some simple changes like turning off electronic devices when they are not needed, using public transport more, eating a diet based on plants, etc. can reduce the harmful impact on the environment.
These small changes do help the environment at some level and for some big changes, every human help is required. The government and big companies all around the world should use clean energy and make less pollution. There is a requirement for rules to prevent humans from throwing garbage after a single use and to prevent natural places from destroying. It is important to teach children from childhood to take care of the Earth. If they will have knowledge of the importance of Earth, they will be making better choices to make a better future.
Today, we must remember that Indigenous people is protecting our Earth for a long time with their knowledge and use of traditional ways. We must recognize and respect their knowledge and should also work with them to keep the planet safe.
Now, I am going to enclose the speech by saying that we must remember that the health of the planet is important for individual health. We need the Earth to live, and everything is connected in one way or another. We should all work together to keep the planet safe for ourselves and for future generations. Let’s take action, it can be big or small, to protect the Earth and everything on it. We have the power to make things better. Thank you.
