The quality of practice material matters also matters a lot in examination preparation.

NVS Exam Preparation tips for class IX

Strictly follow the class VIII syllabus as the question paper is based on the same syllabus. Candidates may refer to the previous year’s (i.e. class 8th) notes and course books for preparation.

Check the important points given below related to each section of the class IX question paper that every candidate should keep in mind while studying for exams-

  • Hindi- Hindi seems to be an easy subject and this is the reason most of the candidates ignore it but this should not be done. Every subject and section in an exam is of equal importance and should be practised properly. Refer to your Hindi grammar books of class VIII and also the references book and model papers. Learn the basics of grammar and thoroughly study the topics.
  • English- Read books, newspapers and magazines daily and enhance your vocabulary.
  • Mathematics- Allot maximum time to this subject if you are a week in it and practice as much as you can. More and more practice is the only key to clearing the mathematics subject. You can refer to the previous year’s question papers, sample papers, and other relevant study material available on the market.
  • Science- This section includes various topics that range from easy to tough ones. Do not skip even a single topic. Start with the easy topics and devote more time to the topics that you feel are tough for you. If you are doing self-study without any coaching, take the help of your parents, teachers, or the internet to get an understanding of the topics.
