Eligibility for Aadhar Card

To get a unique identification no. in India, one has to enrol for the same. Aadhaar enrolment is completely offline however, the facility of online booking of appointments for enrolment is available.
To enrol for an Aadhaar card, one has to visit the nearest Aadhar enrolment centre in person as it is the only method to apply for Aadhaar. All the citizens of India whether he/she is newborn baby or old person is eligible for an Aadhaar card.

– Open the Official portal of UIDAI first.
– Search for Book Online Appointment and hit the “Click Here” link or click on the same option given under Get Aadhaar Here Section.

– Now proceed to the Book Appointment option among the two options- Appointment at UIDAI run Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Appointment at Registrar run Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Note: Currently there are fewer numbers of locations listed in the portal, so if your city is not there in the list, you should click on “Registrar runs Aadhaar Seva Kendra”.
– Select resident type, enter the mobile No./ email, captcha code, and OTP.
– Now enter the OTP sent to the mobile number in the space provided for login.
– Now select the update Aadhaar option.
– Fill in details as per Aadhar in the space provided and click the option you want to update.
-Now, mark the declaration and proceed to submit.
– Appointment Id will be generated. Keep this appointment id safe.
– Click on the Book appointment option.
– Choose the centre and time slot for the appointment.
– Make the payment or pay at the centre.
– The appointment process will be completed. Download the Aadhaar update form and carry it to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra on the day of the appointment along with the necessary documents mentioned on it.
How to Check Uidai Aadhaar Card Status?
Once you have enrolled for the Aadhaar, you can track the status of your application. You can track it through the UIDAI portal. Just follow the simple steps given below to check your Aadhaar Status-
- Visit the UIDAI portal.
- On the homepage, click on the “My Aadhaar” option and select the “check aadhar card status” link from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the EID and captcha code. Click on Check Status.
- Aadhaar status will appear on the screen and you can check the same.
