Rajasthan Home Guard Syllabus 2021: Rajasthan Home Guard Department has invited the online application from eligible candidates and in response, a huge number of candidates had applied for it. Now the department is all set to commence its selection process in the coming days. As we go through the official notification no written examination is going to be conducted for the post instead selection for the post will go through some stages which are Documents Verification, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Additional curricular activities, Merit List, and Medical Examination.
After clearing all the stages required for the post department will issue a joining letter to the shortlisted candidates in the due course period. To know in detail about the Rajasthan Home Guard Syllabus and Exam scheme read the article given below.
Rajasthan Home Guard Syllabus 2021
Earlier, Rajasthan Home Guard Department invited the online application from eligible candidates for the post of Home Guard. Through this recruitment drive, the department aimed to filled 2500 vacant posts. As the minimum education qualification for the posts is 8th class, that’s why the department receives a good response from the candidates. The application process for the post was concluded on 9th July 2020.
Rajasthan Home Guard Selection Process
Candidates who had submitted their application for Rajasthan Home Guard need to know about its selection process. To get selected for the post applicant need to clear it’s all stages which we have given below: –
- Document verification
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Special Ability
Rajasthan Police Home Guard Admit Card will be released for candidates to appear in PST and PET exams which they can download online from department’s official website.
Documents Verification
Before the commencement of PST applicant have to go through the document verification process in which they need to present their all the requisite documents along with a self-attested photocopy of it. The list of documents is given as: –
- Mark sheet/ Certificate of academic qualification
- Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority
- Certificate issued from municipal corporation/ Tehsil/ or from others mentioning that you are residing at that place for the last 3 consecutive years.
- Birth certificate (in case DOB is not mentioned in school certificate)
- Other certificates
- Police verification Certificate (should not be more than 6 months old)
- Caste certificate
- Widow certificate (if any)
- Ex-servicemen certificate
- Medical certificate issued by the state govt. hospital
- Documents related to Sahariya area
- Two passport size photograph
Physical Standard Test
On clearing the DV stage applicant will go through the PST stage in which the candidate’s body standard will be measured to know whether they fulfill the criteria or not. Things that will be measured during the PST are given as: –

Note: SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 CM in height if they not able to fulfill the criteria but no relaxation will be awarded in chest measurement.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) [30 Marks]
After qualifying PST applicant is now ready to participate in PET. It is to be noted that pregnant women are not allowed to take participate in this; if they wish to do so, then they are the sole responsible for it.
Male Candidates: – 1000 meter running
Candidates will be awarded marks in the following manner if they completed their race in: –
- 3 minutes 40 seconds: 15 marks
- 3 minutes 20 seconds: 23 marks
- 3 minutes 10 seconds: 30 marks
Female candidates: 800 meter running
- 4 minutes 30 seconds: 15 marks
- 3 minutes 40 seconds: 23 marks
- 3 minutes 15 seconds: 30 marks
Note: If any candidates failed to get minimum marks then such candidates will be considered as disqualified and will not consider for subsequent rounds.
Special Ability [20 Marks]
If any candidates having any extracurricular activity related Certificate then they will be awarded marks in the following manner: –

Note: The Maximum mark awarded under this special ability category to a single applicant is 20.
All stage of the examination will be of 50 marks whose calculation will be done by the following means: –
- PET/PST: 30 marks
- Special ability: 20 marks
- Total: 50 marks
Minimum Qualifying marks
To qualify the Head Constable Posts applicants have to secure minimum marks in the stages they appear.
- In PST applicant have to secure a minimum of 50% marks whereas
- In total they have to secure 40% marks means they need to secure at least 20 marks in whole to qualify for the post.

Rajasthan Home Guard Merit List
Department will prepare a merit list of the candidates who qualified successfully all stages and secure minimum marks. The merit list will be released by the department in due course period whose information will be shared by the department on their official website.
Resolution of Tie
While preparing the merit list if it was found that more than one candidate secures similar marks then such cases will resolve by applying following methods: –
Applicant elder to the other will be preferred followed by-
Applicant having higher Education qualification will be preferred followed by special ability marks.
If still exist then the merit list will be prepared in alphabetical order.
Rajasthan Home Guard Recruitment Medical Examination
The eyesight of the applicant should be 6 x 6 without specs.
Candidates should be medically and physically fit and free from any kind of deformity.
Applicant should be free from following deformity or other which may cause problem while performing the duties.

- Flat foot
- Hernia
