NIFT 2021 CAT (Creativity Ability Test)
As the Fashion and Design Industry is based on your skills and farsightedness thus applicant will be evaluated on the grounds of observation power, skill to design new concepts innovatively, and other creativity and skills. NIFT 2021 GAT (General Ability Test) Syllabus
Students will be tested in the following component in GAT (General Ability Test)
The number of question for this particular section varies as per the courses you have opted
This section was designed to test applicant mathematical skills like addition, subtraction, fraction, multiplication division, ROI, ration and proportion, time, work and distance.
English Comprehension and Communication Ability
This section is aimed to test applicant language ability in their day to day life which also includes antonyms, synonyms, fillers, one-word substitution, idioms & phrases, comprehension, singular, plural etc.
Analytical & Logical Ability
Through this test applicant logic evaluation ability will be tested to know whether he/she can find the problem or not.
Through this section applicant, general knowledge will be tested to know whether he/she is aware of the things happening outside.
This test will get to know about the candidate’s managerial ability and the question of this section will be based on the industry ambiance.

NIFT 2021 Situation Test Syllabus
Please note that the situation test will only be conducted for UG Design courses and only such applicant can appear for this test that had cleared their written entrance exam successfully.
Situation test is a hands-on test in this, some material will be provided to the candidates to know whether they can stand on the parameters of: –
- Innovative Skills
- Material handling
- Space visualization
- Construction skill
- Colour scheme
- And above all the presentation
The mentioned parameter will also be checked in writing and the concept behind the art constructed by the applicant and this write-up will only be accepted in the English language, if written in any other language then no marks will be awarded.

After shortlisting in the written examination, candidates of a master programme have to appear for GD round in which they will be tested in the following parameters: –
