JNVST syllabus 2020: JNVST 2020 application process have been completed and exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of 11th January (Phase 1) and 11th April 2020 (Phase 2) for class 6th admission. JNVST is a national level examination conducted by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti which is affiliated by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JNVST is conducted every year for the admission of talented candidates from rural areas of the country in class 6th and 9th to the various Navodaya Vidyalaya of the country.

The exam pattern of JNVST Class VI exam is given below in the table-

  • It will be an objective type paper.
  • It will be OMR-based paper.
  • The total duration of exam will be of 2 hours.
  • JNVST Classes conducted in following languages Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English, Garo, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam and Manipuri.
  • It is compulsory for candidates to pass in each section/subject to qualify the exam.
  • There is no negative marking.

  • It is a descriptive/ objective type of exam.
  • The medium of examination is English and Hindi.

    • Eligibility Criteria JNVST 2019
      For all Candidates

    • Candidates should be from the district where he/she is applying from for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, if the district is opened is bifurcated then old boundaries are considered.
    • Born before 01-05-2006 and after 30-04-2010
    • For class 6th admission student must be studying in Class-V session 2018-19.
    • Admission under rural quota student to pass classes III, IV and V from a Govt. /Govt. aided/recognized school with one full year in the area applying from.
    • “B” certificate competency course of NIOS on or before 30 September 2018 are also eligible.
    • For Rural Candidates

    • At least 75 percent seats in a district to be selected from rural areas.
    • Rural quota candidate to pass Classes-III, IV and V from the Government/ Govt. Aided/Govt. recognized school in rural areas
    • Candidate must study Class-V from same district where seeking admission.
    • For Urban Candidates

    • A candidate who has studied in urban area even for a single day in Class-III, IV and V.
    • For Transgender Candidates

    • To be included in Boys category for reservation purpose and as per category reservation.
