The exam scheme for each airmen group (X and Y) comprises of few things that are listed below.
- IAF Airmen X and Y Group exams will be conducted online mode.
- Questions asked there in the examination will be of multiple choice type.
- The complete IAF Airmen question paper (except for the English exam) shall be in both Hindi and English languages.
- For attempting a correct answer, officials will furnish 1 mark.
- There is a negative marking in this online exam therefore 0.25 marks will be reduced for each incorrect answer.

IAF Airmen Group X, Y Selection Process
For recruiting eligible candidates, higher authorities have prescribed a procedure which is implemented in this recruitment and followed by each candidate. Here, we have explained each stage in brief for more clarity.
- Online Exam: Initially, applicants who have applied for IAF Airmen Group X and Y posts have to appear in online exams. Candidates keep one thing in mind they have to clear each paper individually. Then, authorities will shortlist those candidates who will qualify the online test.
- Document Verification: Selected candidates will be called (via admit card) for document verification on the prescribed date. On the day of verification, candidates have to carry all the original documents.
