After the completion of the four allotments, the authority released the JOSAA 5th seat allotment. And as per the schedule available, the fourth seat allocation for JoSAA will take place on July 21st, 2023. Applicants may check their JoSAA 5th Round seat allotment online at josaa.nic.in whose link will be active after 5 PM.
JOSAA allotment status can be checked by submitting login details whose direct link will be shared here on this page. Post allotment, the shortlisted applicants need to report to the institution to submit their fee, for documentation to complete their admission until July 24th, 2023. JOSAA 5th Seat Allotment Result 2023
Once the allotment is announced, applicants need to perform some steps mentioned in the business rules. As per them, the applicant first accepts the seat by choosing one option (free, slide or float) as per their choices. Thereafter, they need to upload the documents, the details of which are given below. Last but not least, the seat acceptance fee which is Rs 20,000 for SC, ST, GENPwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or STPwD and Rs 40,000 for all other categories.
During documentation, if the officer raises a query, then in the next step applicants need to respond to it by 10th July (round 2). On failing to do so, the applicant’s seat will be cancelled.

- First, visit the josaa.nic.in
- Now on the home page, tap on the seat allotment link.
- On redirection, a new window appears where you need to enter your login details
- On submission, the allotment status will be on your screen.

Steps after JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023
The Candidates who are selected will be having following options to choose from after the announcement of seat allotment results:
- The First Option is Freeze, which means that the following candidate has accepted the offered seat and is satisfied with the allocated academic course. They do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such a candidate will not be considered in further rounds of admission.
- The Second option is Float, which means that the following candidate has accepted the offered seat but if he/ she is offered admission to an academic program of better/higher preference in any institute, they will accept it. Else, He/ She will continue with the currently accepted academic course. Such a candidate will be considered in the following next rounds of admission.
- Slide is another alternative which means that candidate has accepted the offered seat by the institute but if they are offered admission to an academic program of better / higher preference within the same Institute, they will accept it. Such candidates will be considered in the following next rounds of admission.
