IIIT Basara Admission – Method of Selection
Admission will be based on the merit of the candidates in the qualifying exam and therefore no selection test is conducted by the university. Selection list and admission of the candidates in IIIT Basara will be based on the Grade and GPA (Grade Point Average) in each subject in High School/ Class 10th.
IIIT Basara Tie-Breaking criteria
If two students get equal marks while preparing the selection list, the university follows tie-breaking criteria to resolve the tie. The following options are used in the given sequence to determine the merit of the candidates-
- Higher grades in Mathematics,
- Higher grades in General Science,
- Higher grade in English,
- Higher grade in Social Studies,
- Higher grade in 1st Language,
- Candidate older in age
- Lowest random number was obtained from the hall ticket number.
Check the procedure to resolve the tie by random number given below-
- For CBSE & ICSE applicants
The Hall ticket/ Admit card consist of seven digits.
Therefore, a random number is obtained as the remainder of {253 x [first 3 digits of the hall ticket number/ admit card] divided by the last 4 digits of the hall ticket number}.
- For SSC, NIOS & OSSC applicants-
The random number will be obtained as the remainder of {253 x [first 5 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number}
IIIT Basara Admission Counseling 2022
Candidates who will be selected have to appear for counseling. These selected applicants have to report at the RGUKT – Basar, Nirmal District in Telangana State for documents verification. They are required to carry all the original documents/ certificates and all the details provided in the application form to the counseling venue.
Counseling of candidates from Special Categories like Physically Handicapped (PH), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), Sports, and NCC will be conducted at IIIT, Basar.
IIIT Basara 2022 Admission
After the counseling process finally admission will be granted to the candidates. Admission will be granted only after satisfactory scrutiny and verification of the details mentioned in the application and the original documents/ certificates submitted by the candidate at the counseling venue.
