Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship 2023: Check Application Form, Eligibility

The application process for Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship 2023 offered by the Central Government for reserved categories will be conducted soon. Tripura pre-matric scholarships are offered to the students studying in class 9 and class 10 coming from the ST and SC categories. The applications for these schemes are invited separately as they are offered by two different Ministries/Departments of the Central Government.

Although the Central Government fully sponsors the schemes, the State Government of Tripura carries out the implementation. These schemes are primarily aimed at supporting the parents of the SC and ST children for the education of the wards enrolled in class 9 and class 10 to reduce the causes of school drop-out.

With the financial support provided under these schemes, the participation of these children’s SC and ST is improved in Classes 9 and 10. Those who apply for the scheme are provided financial support from the Centre if their applications are accepted and verified.

Application Process for Tripura Pre-Matric Scholarship

As per the guidelines issued by the concerned departments for both scholarships, applications are invited by the Tripura government. These applications can be invited online or offline.

The school departments must fill out the eligible students’ application forms. Applicants are required to submit the required documents to the school officials so that they can complete the application process. It is the responsibility of the school/institution’s responsibility to submit their students’ applications before the due date.

The school authority will then forward the filled-in applications to the block or district level authorities for verification. Once the verification and other formalities are completed by the authorities, the scholarship amount will be disbursed to beneficiary accounts.

Registration on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

Tripura Pre-Matric Scholarships are now also available on the National Scholarship Portal. After registration on NSP, students will be able to get their scholarship details and track their application and payment status.  

Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship online registration and application process is as follows-

• Open National Scholarship Portal, i.e., https://scholarships.gov.in.
• Click on the New Registration Link given at the top of the page.  
•  Read the information mentioned, scroll down and agree to the conditions mentioned. Click on the Continue button.
• Now, fill out the fresh registration form, verify OTP and complete the registration form. The registration details will be sent to the applicant’s registered email and mobile number. Keep these details safe.
• After registration, click on the “Login to Apply” button.
• Select the Tripura Pre-Matric Scholarship and complete the application process.

Students must have the following documents with them while applying for any of the schemes-

• Domicle of Tripura State
• ST Certificate (for ST candidates)
• SC certificate (for SC candidates)
• Academic qualification certificates and mark sheets
• Income certificate
• Aadhaar
• Passport sized photograph
• Bank Account details
• Other documents, as prescribed by the authority
