Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship 2022: The application process for Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship 2022 offered by the Central Government for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste students is open. Tripura pre-matric scholarships are offered to the students studying in class 9th and class 10th coming from ST and SC categories. The applications for both these schemes are invited separately as they are offered by two different Ministries/Departments of the Central Government.

Although the schemes are fully sponsored by Central Government, the implementation is carried out by the State Government of Tripura. These schemes are primarily aimed to support the parents of the SC and ST children for the education of the wards enrolled in class 9th and class 10th so as to reduce the causes of school drop-out. With the financial support provided under these schemes, the participation of these children SC and ST is improved in Class 9th and 10th. Those who apply for the scheme are provided with financial support from the Centre if their applications are accepted and verified.

Eligibility Conditions
Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government in order to apply for the scholarship. Check the eligibility conditions for SC and ST scholarship applications mentioned below-
| Applicants should belong Scheduled Caste category (for SC scholarship) and Scheduled Tribe for ST scholarship |
| Students should be studying in class 9th and class 10th |
| They should be full-time and regular students enrolled in any of the Govt schools or institutions recognized by the Government. |
| The annual income of the parents of the students should not be more than Rs. 250000/- from all sources for SC students and Rs.200000/- for ST students. |
| Applicant must have an Aadhaar Card |
| They should not be availing benefits under any other Centrally sponsored pre-matric scholarship |
| Scholarship benefits will be offered only for one year to a student studying in any class. In case he/she fails in a class and is a repeater then no scholarship will be offered for the subsequent year. |
Application Process for Tripura Pre-Matric Scholarship
As per the guidelines issued by the concerned departments for both scholarships, applications are invited by the Tripura government. These applications can be invited online or offline.
The school departments have to fill out the application forms for the eligible students. Applicants are required to submit the required documents to the school officials so that they can complete the application process. It is the responsibility of the school/ institution to submit the applications of their students before the due date.
The school authority will then forward the filled-in applications to the authorities at the block or district level for verification. Once the verification and other formalities will be completed by the authorities, the scholarship amount will be disbursed to beneficiary accounts.
Registration on National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
Tripura Pre Matric Scholarships are now also available on the National Scholarship Portal. After registration on NSP, students will be able to get their scholarship details and track their application as well as payment status.
Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship online registration and application process is as follows-
- Open National Scholarship Portal i.e., https://scholarships.gov.in.
- Click on New Registration Link given at the top of the page.
- Read the information mentioned, scroll down and agree to the conditions mentioned. Click on the Continue button.
- Now, fill out the fresh registration form, verify OTP and complete the registration form. The registration details will be sent to the registered email and mobile number of the applicant. Keep these details safe.
- After registration, click on the “Login to Apply” button.
- Select Tripura Pre-Matric Scholarship and complete the application process.
