The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited of India ONGC believes that sportsmen could be supported with financial assistance to smoothly pursue their dreams of playing for the nation at recognisable levels. All the eligible sportspersons, such that they can get financial awards up to Rs. 30,000 every month, can apply for the scheme.

The prospects must fill out the online application form to participate in the scheme’s selection process. The candidates must apply through the official ONGC portal and upload the documents and details.

The authorities have announced the scholarship amount differently for all levels of players. In total, the authorities will be giving out 250 scholarships. The candidates belonging to the following categories will receive the respective amounts as announced by the authorities:-

Benefits of the ONGC Scholarship Scheme

In addition to the aforementioned monthly incentive as a part of the scholarship amount, the candidates will be receiving the following benefits:

• The selected sportsmen can represent the ONGC Team in competitions such as PSPB or AIPSSPB and any other national-level tournament in the respective sport. The players will also be paid the applicable TA or DA and expenses needed for participation in the competition.
• While participating in national-level competitions and representing the ONGC teams, the candidates will receive playing kits with the enterprise logo.
• The Selected sportsman under the scholarship scheme will be provided individual health insurance coverage for Rs. 5,00,000. If the candidates independently apply for requisite health insurance coverage, a premium of up to Rs. ONGC will reimburse 7,000.

The candidates who wish to apply for the Scholarship Scheme announced by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) need to be eligible. The authorities have announced the following conditions:-

• The applicant should be a citizen of India.
• The minimum age for the application has been announced as 14 Years.
• Sportsmen older than 25 years cannot apply for the scholarship.
• The scholarship will be provided for the current financial year.
• The candidates will be selected on a merit basis.
