GOKDOM Scholarships 2021 Application Form, Process, Eligibility Criteria, Important Dates

GOKDOM Scholarships is organized by the Karnataka government for the welfare of the minority communities which are Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India. Karnataka government approved Pre-metric scholarship for 30 lakh students and Post metric and Merit cum Means scholarship will be approved to 8 lakh candidates and the date of application also be extended to 20th January 2021. It includes the four departments, Scheduled Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Minorities Welfare Department & Social Welfare Department which gives scholarship to the needy candidates.

Number of Scholarships Sponsored by Karnataka

The Karnataka government offered seven scholarships, which are as follows:

  • Post- matric scholarship, Karnataka
  • The incentive for 10th or 12th class candidates, Karnataka
  • Pre- matric scholarship, Karnataka
  • National Overseas Scholarship, Karnataka
  • For MPhil and PhD students, Karnataka
  • Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, Karnataka

GOKDOM Scholarships Application Process

  • Go to the official site GOKDOM Scholarships, the link is given below in this article.
  • Select the New Registration option.
  • Read cautiously the guidelines for Registration on NSP and click on the Continue button.
  • Fill all the required details on the registration form.
  • Fill the details about your Bank account, Aadhar consent, and application form.
  • Click on the Register button.
  • Note down the Registration ID for inquiries and references.
  • Then continue with the Login Page ( login Id & password is your Application Id and DOB)
  • Once you log in, you will a 5 digit OTP on your Registered mobile number and email-id.
  • Confirm the OTP and change your password as per the instruction.
  • Select the Application Form option and fill the details about:
    • Personal Information
    • Qualification details or other required details.
  • Then Click on Save and move to the Next page.
  • After filling the information about the basic details, the next page is all about Contact Details and Schloraship details, fill as per the eligibility criteria.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Click on the Submit.
  • Take a print for future reference and acknowledgment.

Eligibility Criteria for GOKDOM Scholarships

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, Karnataka (August to October)

  • The candidates who are pursuing undergraduate or any PG course in the professional stream are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The total Family income shouldn’t be more than 2.5 lakhs INR.
  • The last exam percentage should be more than 50 percent.
  • Candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.
  • Candidates who eligible for this scholarship Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India.

National Overseas Scholarship, Karnataka (May to July)

  • The maximum age should be 38 years not more than it.
  • The percentage should be more than 60 percent in the last degree.
  • The candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.

Pre- matric scholarship, Karnataka (August to October)

  • The candidate must be in class First to Tenth.
  • The total Family income shouldn’t be more than 1 lakhs INR.
  • Candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.
  • The last exam percentage should be more than 50 percent.
  • The percentage criteria are not applicable for class 1st students.
  • The candidates who eligible for this scholarship Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India.

Post- matric scholarship, Karnataka (August to October)

  • Candidates from 11th to Ph.D. are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • The total Family income shouldn’t be more than 2 lakhs INR.
  • Candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.
  • The qualifying exam percentage should be more than 50 percent.
  • The candidates who eligible for this scholarship Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India.

For MPhil and PhD Students, Karnataka (May to June)

  • The maximum age should be 35 years not more than that.
  • The total Family income shouldn’t be more than 6 lakhs INR.
  • Government employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.
  • Candidates who eligible for this scholarship Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India.

The incentive for Secondary or Intermediate class candidates, Karnataka (August to September)

  • Candidate must have a domicile of Karnataka.
  • Candidate must acquire 85 percent or above in the 10th or 12th class.
  • Candidates who eligible for this scholarship Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, Jain studying in India.

What are the documents required to upload while filling the Scholarship form?

If you are applying for Pre and Post Matric scholarship scheme than there is no need to uploading the documents, but if you are applying for a Merit-Cum-Means scholarship and amount is more than 50k INR then you need to uploading the documents if there is fresh application. The document size shouldn’t be more than 200kb. The following documents you need to upload:

  • Candidate Photograph,
  • Institution verification certificate,
  • Family annual Income certificate,
  • Current course fees receipt,
  • Self attested marksheet,
  • Bank account details along with IFSC code
  • Domicile certificate,
  • Aadhaar card and if Aadhaar card is not available you can give the bank passbook number or if applied then you can give the Aadhaar enrollment number.
  • Bonified certificate from school or Institute.

Renewal Process for Scholarships

  • Select the Login button
  • Click on the Renewal option for years 2020-21.
  • Candidates must log in to the previous year NSP ID and password
  • Check all information which is priorly filled.
  • Click on Apply for Renewal button and fill all the details.
  • Upload the required documents and recheck all the details.
  • Click on submit.
  • Take a print for reference.

Note: For the renewal process, candidates must obtained at least 50 percent in the last examination pursed course from the same Institute or school. But if candidate apply for Merit-Cum-Mean scholarship, candidate must score atleast 50percent in each semester or trimester examination.
