• It is mandatory for the applicant to be from reserved class so as to avail this scheme. The reserved class includes all the caste that is approved by the central government including SC, ST and OBC. Applicants from nomadic & semi-nomadic tribes can apply.
• The Ambedkar Post Matric application is also open for General category from India.
• Applicants cannot avail the scholarship for the same category courses. For example, if a student has completed M.A in English through scholarship then he/she cannot avail scholarship for pursuing the same category course for different subjects.
• The family income of candidates from all sources must be less than 1 lakhs/per annum. For Denotified, Nomadic Tribe DNT’S it should not exceed 2 lakhs p.a|
• Applicants cannot avail scholarships twice for same class. For example, if a candidate fails in their class/course and repeats the year, the scholarship will not be provided again.
• An applicant pursuing correspondence/distant courses under the scheme can have reimbursement for non-refundable fees only. A special reimbursement of Rs 900 other than scholarship will be provided in a year for books and other stationery items.
• The category certificates should be updated. If certificate has expired, please renew it asap.
