Post Matric Scholarship for BC-EBC

This scheme is basically for the candidates who are from BC and EBC categories, but it’s not for every single candidate because there are some eligibility and qualification criteria for the scholarship which we have given below:

Eligibility

• Only such candidates are eligible for the scholarship who is the domiciled resident of Bihar.
• Should be studying in post-matric class
• The scholarship will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary courses.
• Belong to the category of backward class and EBC category.
• The annual income of the family may not exceed 1.5 lakhs.
• Studying in the state or central accredited institution.
• And the institution course should be central/state government recognized.
• If any student has cleared any course with the scholarship then he/she is not entitled to any other equivalent course.
• Only two sons of one parent are eligible for the scholarship but this rule is not applicable in the case of daughters.
• If any of the students are already getting scholarships from any other institution, then they are not entitled to this scholarship and they have to choose only one of them.
• All students who came under this scholarship must have the certificate of their category.
• If any of the candidates who after clearing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in a different subject such as after I.A or B.Com after B.A or M.A in other subjects will not be eligible.

ST and SC Post Matric Scholarship

As the name suggests this scheme is only for the male and female applicants of the Scheduled case and Scheduled tribe of the Bihar state.

This scheme applies to students who wanted to study in government and non-government-recognized institutions within or outside the state.

Eligibility

• Only such, students who are eligible for the scholarship are permanent domiciled residents of Bihar.
• He/she must be studying in post-matric class.
• They belong to the ST and SC category.
• And they are not studying in more than one institution.
• Their parent’s family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs.
• And they are studying in an institution which is recognized by the central/state government.
• The course they are studying must be recognized by the central/state government.

Amount disburse according to the course

As per the Indian government, SC and ST candidates are liable for the scholarship after fulfilling the criteria and they will be provided with a maximum of Rs. 15000/- according to the course they are appearing for and the amount for the courses will be given as:-

Value of Bihar Scholarship

• The value of scholarship includes the following for the complete duration of the course:
• The maintenance allowance;
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees,
• Study tour charges
• Thesis typing or printing charges for research students,
• Book allowances for those students who are pursuing correspondence courses
• There are some additional allowances for students with disabilities, for the complete duration of the course.

How to apply for the Bihar scholarship through the NSP portal?

Those candidates who are eligible for the Post matric scholarship for BC-EBC and ST, SC Post Matric Scholarship and wanted to apply, then they can apply for the scholarship through the National Scholarship portal and you may follow the instruction we have given below:

• First of all, candidates need to visit the official website of the National Scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in/

• Now on the home page, applicants need to select the State schemes

• Now from the option select the Bihar state

• After selection the state you can easily find the application start and end date

• Now select the apply link (once it was available)

• And fill the form which appears to you carefully

• And submit the mandatory documents.

Important points for Bihar Scholarship

• The Application form for the scholarship will be available only through online mode and by any other means, it will not accept.
• The online application form will be available on the national scholarship portal.
• While filling out the form students need to fill in the name of the institution in which he/she is currently studying.
• After filling out the form students need to take a hard copy of it and submit the two copies of it to the concerned department of your college.
• One copy as an acknowledgement will be given to the candidate and the other will be for the online verification process.

The document to be submitted

• Last year’s mark sheet and certificates.
• Income proof of the family was issued by the competent authority and it should be submitted at the time of admission to courses which are continuing for more than one year.
• A caste certificate must be issued by the competent authority.
• Students domiciled certificate which was also issued by the competent authority of the state.
• While filling out the application form candidates need to mention their account number and must submit the scanned file on the front page of the passbook and a cancel cheque.
• Institution IFSC code and account number.
• Scanned copy of the Aadhaar card.
• The receipt of the current session of your course which you got from the institution.
• Students photograph.

Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojna (Graduation)

This scheme is available only for the girl child of Bihar state, the motive of this scheme is to make the girl child self-dependent and get them into the mainstream. Under this, applicants will get INR 25000/- and the amount will be directly credited into the account of the applicant via DBT mode.

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligibility for the scheme is that the applicant must be of Bihar domiciled.
• She must complete her graduation or equivalent to it.

Documents required

There are a few documents that are required, to submit the application form which is:

• Photo of the applicant
• Signature of applicant
• Aadhaar card of the applicant
• Residential certificate
• The first page of the bank passbook
• Graduation certificate/passing mark sheet

Retrieve Reg. ID and password

In case, if you forgot the Registration ID and password you can retrieve the same.

• For that, you need to visit the official website.
• And click on the forgot ID and password.
• To retrieve, you have two options whether you can find it from the mobile number or the Aadhaar number
• After selecting it, now you need to fill in the details as it appears.
• Name, Aadhaar number, and date of birth or mobile number
• And after doing the same press the view button.

Payment confirmation information

You can also check the payment credit information through the portal itself for that,

• You need to visit the official website and click on the payment done information and…
• Then select the university and enter the first three characters of the applicant’s name and…
• Press the view button.

Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Intermediate

While introducing the scheme, the state government tried to encourage young girls who have completed their intermediate for their higher studies. Under the scheme, unmarried girls will get the encouragement amount of INR 10,000/- and this amount will be directly credited into the account of the applicant.

Bihar Combined Counselling Board Scholarship

All those scholars who are unable to pay their fees and require financial assistance can apply for a CCB scholarship. The combined Counselling Board has initiated this scholarship for the welfare of students of Bihar. This scholarship is only for the candidate of Bihar no other aspirant can apply for this scholarship. The amount of scholarship that will be given to candidates is Rs 1 lac to Rs 3 lac.

Eligibility Standards

1. It is mandatory that, the student must be a civilian of Bihar state.
2. Candidates pursuing courses like degrees, diplomas, or postgraduate levels can apply for this scholarship.
3. In the passing examination, aspirants must have 40% or 50%.

Bihar Pre matric Scholarship for OBC

Bihar pre-matric scholarship is for those candidates who are studying from class 1st to 10th. Only those aspirants who belong to the OBC category can apply for this studentship.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are from Other Backward Classes of Bihar state are eligible for this scholarship.
• The candidate must hold the domicile of Bihar.
• Only those students who are studying from class 1st to 10th can apply.
• The income of the recipient’s family should not be more than 1.5 Lakh.

1. The initial step for applying is to visit the official page that is https://fts.bih.nic.in/EBCScholarShip/Default.html.
2.  Click on the “New Registration” tab mentioned on the home screen.

3. The registration form will open on your screen in which aspirants have to provide their info like Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, etc.

4. Click on the “Register” button and get yourself registered.

Post-Graduation Scholarship for OBC

This scholarship is also for those candidates who are from the OBC category. But this scheme can be availed by those aspirants who are studying in post-graduation programs after completing their graduation. More details about this scheme are mentioned in the subsequent section of this portal.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The recipient must belong to the Other Back Classes category.
2. In order to apply for this scheme, the aspirant must be a permanent citizen of Rajasthan.
3. Candidates who are willing to take admission into post-graduation courses.

How to Apply Online

1. Go to the official site of the Backward Class and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department.
2. The homepage will load on your screen.
3. Click on the “New Registration” link.
4. A form will open on your screen, and then insert your complete information on that registration form.
5. Next, upload all the necessary certificates.
6. Finally, cross-verify all the details once again and submit the form.

Chief Minister’s EBC Meritorious Scholarship

The objective of implementing this scholarship is to motivate students to complete their higher education. Aspirants who are from EBC backgrounds can apply for this scheme and get 10,000 rupees for their excellent academic performance. Candidates who will hold 1st division in the 10th class will be eligible for this scholarship.

Chief Minister BC Meritocracy Scholarship

To improve the education condition of Bihar state, the government have introduced this scheme in order to motivate students residing in the state to study further. To avail of the benefit of BC Meritocracy Scholarship, aspirants must have cleared/ her matric with 1st division. The government will proffer 10,000 rupees to those who will satisfy the criteria. This scheme will be given economic help to complete their education further.

Standard of Eligibility

• A candidate who wants to apply must be a citizen of Bihar and hold BC/ EBC caste certificate.
• The income of his/ her family should not be more than 1.5 lakhs.
• He/ She must be qualified with 1^st division in 10^th class.
