WB SET Result 2023 Released: West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) is a state-level test conducted for testing the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in the state. WB SET Result 2023
The result will be published online. No physical result or individual scorecards will be dispatched by post to any candidate. Candidates have to access their results from the official website of WBCSC i.e., www.wbcsconline.in once it is uploaded online. The score of all the candidates will be uploaded online on the official website soon after the release of the test result. Before the release of the result, the Commission uploads the answer keys for all question papers. Feedback regarding the answer keys will also be accepted. After publishing the decision regarding the feedback, WBCSC will publish the result.

Criteria for WB SET Result Publication
The following criteria will be followed for declaration of result-
- Step I- Candidates 6% of the total number of candidates appeared in the eligibility test (in both the papers) will be selected for the issue of SET certificate.
- Step II- The total slots will be allotted to different categories as per the State Reservation Policy.
- Step III- Only those candidates will be considered qualified who will secure minimum qualifying in the respective category. The minimum qualifying marks are fixed by the Commission. Have a look at the category-wise qualifying marks given as under-

Note– The minimum qualifying marks % here is are the aggregate marks of the candidates in both the papers taken together.

WB SET Cut-off Marks
The result will also depend on the cut-off marks criteria. It will be decided category-wise for each of the subjects. Cut-off marks criteria will also be published along or after the result. Among the reserved categories i.e., SC/ST/PWD/OBC/EWS categories the cut-off marks criteria should be lowest for the corresponding subject.

WB SET Issue of Certificates
After the publication of the result, successful candidates are issued SET certificates. Qualified candidates will be notified in due course about the issue of the certificate. They have to collect the certificate as specified by the Commission. Using the certificate, they can apply for the post of Assistant Professor in any university/ college of the state where there is a vacancy. They must be aware that the mere issue of the certificate will not confer them a right of appointment in a university. The final appointment is depended on the decision of the recruiting university/ institution.
