UKPSC Lower PCS 2021 Result

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission on 12 December 2021 conducted the initial level exam for 190 vacancies under 7 categories of the Lower PCS level. A lot of candidates attempted the objective questions based on preliminary examination in various centers across Uttarakhand. The exam was of 150 marks consisting of 150 questions. Each question was of one mark and had four options as the answers. the candidates had to select the right one. The questions were based on the subject of the General Study and General Aptitude Test. The exam was of 2 hours duration.

Candidates will have to qualify for this examination in order to be able to appear for further selection procedures. The authorities will set a cut off for this exam. The candidates need to score more or equal to the cut off and only then they will be able to get selected for the next round of examination.

The candidates who attempted the exam may now check the answer keys to the questions they attempted. The answer keys is posted online on the portal and will have to follow the steps given below in order to check it:

1. Open the official portal of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission at ukpsc.gov.in.
2. On the home page, check the menu with various services.
3. Click on the top most option of “Answer Keys“.
4. A drop down box will open up. Tap on “Answer Key“.
5. All the recently released answer keys will be available online for the candidates to download.
6. Click on the link attested to the notification “Answer Key to the preliminary examination of UKPSC Lower PSC 2021 held on 12.12.2021”.
7. The pdf file will open up in the new tab. It can also be downloaded and printed as per the convenience of the candidate.

However, the candidates can object to the initial answer key and send their objections as per the guidelines of the UKPSC. The authorities will consider these objections and then release a final answer key on the basis of the same. The result will be announced on the basis of the final answer key.

The submitted examination response sheet of the candidates will be examined on the basis of the final answer key. The candidates will have to pass the preliminary exam and a cut-off will be set to decide if the candidate has passed the exam or not. The candidates who will pass the Preliminary Examination by scoring more than or exactly equal to the cut off marks will be listed in a merit list. This merit list will be for reference as result. Only the candidates who will be a part of this merit list will be further allowed to appear for the Mains. The candidates can check the merit list, once released, by following these simple steps:

UK Lower PCS Examination Marking

The Candidates had to attempt 150 Multiple Choice Questions of One Mark each in the preliminary test. They will be awarded one mark for every correct answer. However, if they are unable to answer a question correctly, there will be a provision of negative marking. They will be penalized. Additionally, if the candidates give two answers to a question and if any one of them is correct, they will still be penalised. Those who have not attempted any question all neither be awarded nor penalised. The candidates will have to score more than or equal to the cut off in order to clear the exam.

UKPSC Lower PCS Selection Process

The candidates will have to go through two levels in order to get selected for the vacant posts. The two levels are the Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. The preliminary examination was conducted on 12 December 2021. The candidates who will pass this exam will have to appear for Main Examination. The Man Examination will be in further two tiers, Written Test and Personality Test. The Written Test will be much of Subjective type and 200 Marks.

The candidates will appear for Personality Test which will be the Personal Interview. This will be 50 Marks. The scores of the Written Test and Personality Test will be subsequently added and the candidates who will qualify will be appointed on the post. The purpose of the Preliminary Test is just for the selection of eligible students for the Main Examination. the scores of the Preliminary Exam will not be added or considered at the time of selection.
