OSSC WEO Result: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission recently conducted the examination for the appointment of Welfare Extension Officers in the state. Now, they have announced the mains results on the basis of which, candidates will have to appear for the document verification from 23rd March onwards. The exam was conducted in different centres across the state and was of the objective type. Now, OSSC will release the merit list and the candidates who will pass the exam will be issued with hall tickets for the main written examination of Stage II.

OSSC WEO Result Link 2023
As per advertisement number 145/2021-5651/OSSE, the Odisha Staff Selection Commission OSSC sought to recruit 129 posts of Welfare Extension Officers as Initial Appointees. The candidates will be appointed under the Director of the Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha. The application deadline was 12 October 2022, and all the eligible candidates who applied for the recruitment were issued admit cards in order to appear for the preliminary examination.
The conduction of exam commenced on 17 December 2022. The last examination was held on 23 December 2022. Now, the authorities will be releasing the result in order to notify the applicants regarding their further shortlisting status pertaining to the Mains Written Examination.

Date of Release of Odisha Welfare Extension Officer
The last examination for Stage I of the selection of Welfare Extension Officer 2021 in the state of Odisha was held on 23 December 2022. All of the exams were of objective type. The candidates had to appear for the exam in subjects like general awareness, including science, latest events, political situations, history, and geography of class 10 standard. In order to release the result, the authorities will be displaying a merit list on the official portal of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission, OSSC.

The result of the Odisha Welfare Extension Officer will be released in online mode. The authorities will be conducting a negative marking for every wrong answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong attempts. The preliminary examination was conducted with the intention of scrutinization of applicants for the Mains written examination. The marks obtained in stage I will not be calculated at the time of selection. Thus, it is suspected that the authority shall not be releasing an answer key. OSSC WEO Result Cut-Off Marks
As per the available information, the authority shall be releasing the merit list and not the marks. However, they will be considering certain minimum marks that the candidates have to achieve in order to be able to qualify for the list. The number of the finally selected candidates will depend upon the number of vacancies which is 129. OSSC has notified that they shall be shortlisting candidates in a manner such that the select number of prospects or 20 times more than the vacancies.
