The Odisha Board of Secondary Education conducts an exam every year in order to select students for awarding them with the National Rural Talent Scholarship. Candidates who qualify for this exam qualify for receiving monthly monetary benefits to pursue their education smoothly. Candidates who are presently in 9th standard attempted this exam. The test was conducted on 6 September 2022 and result was announced on 26 October 2022.
The result will be available on the portal for the students to download. The candidates who receive better marks will get the scholarship depending upon the number of slots.

The examination was conducted for the students of the 9th class. The paper was set from the syllabus of Class 8 and included all the main subjects Modern Indian Language, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. There were 4 sections, each of the aforementioned subjects. Each section carried 25 marks. The test was of a total of 100 marks. The students who were eligible and registered for the exam appeared for it. The candidates were listed in a pre-requisite list prepared by the authorities. The admit cards were consequently made available.

Odisha NRTS Exam Exam Cut Off
In order to select students, the authorities will choose a cut off mark. These are minimum marks that a candidate must score so as to qualify for receiving the scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the number of available slots as per the corpus. The candidates who score equal or marks more than the cut off will automatically make it to the merit list.
However, there has been no information pertaining to the declaration of these marks. In case the authorities declare the cut off marks, they will be posted online on the “Latest Updates” section of the portal. The candidates will have to follow a similar procedure as the one to download the result and check the notice.

Odisha NRTS Merit List
The authorities will award the scholarship to the candidates who will secure a position on the merit list. There will be candidates who will score more than or equal to the decided cut off marks. Such candidates will eventually be able to make it to the merit list. The names and roll numbers of the candidates will be arranged in the order of highest marks. The candidate scoring the most marks will be placed at the beginning of the list followed by the candidates securing marks in a decreased order. But, there has been no official information regarding such a list. In case it will be published online, it will be posted in the section of “Latest Updates” of the Odisha BSE.
