- Mumbai University Exams are generally held twice a year.
- The university exams are divided into two halves of the calendar year. The first half of exams are conducted in March-April and the second half of exams are held in October-November.
- Examination forms for the first half of exams are filled in the month of November and for the second half in the month of June.
- The university put the timetable on its website 10 days before the commencement of the exam.

The University of Mumbai is one of the oldest Universities in the state of Maharashtra. Located in Mumbai it is informally known as Mumbai University (MU).
