About Vocational Higher Secondary Education Kerala board
Beginning of Vocational Higher Secondary Education in Kerala was done in 1983-84. This scheme was implemented costly in 19 schools with some selected courses. Later on it has been extended for 73 schools and with time it more extended. The latest expansion done by board in different schools for Vocational Higher Secondary Education level is in 2001.
Number of schools application went to 375 with almost thousand courses. Right now there are almost 1100 batches in Kerala in 389 different schools. Vocational Higher Secondary Education is modernized with 35 restructured courses. Out of 389 schools of Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary Education, 128 schools are from private sectors school and rest 261 are Government affiliated schools.

Examination form of Vocational Higher Secondary Education was conducted by board. High level meeting is arranged where 8 members of the board along with director. Director will be head or chairman of the board. This board constitutes examination for first year, second year and various model examinations for skill evaluation.

Modes of examination for Vocational Higher Secondary Education
Examination of Vocational Higher Secondary Education is conducted by offline means. It consists of different languages for paper. Student can opt for English or Malayalam versions of question papers. Students are also given freedom for selecting any of the following languages to write the examination. The languages are English Malayalam Tamil or kannada.
In Academy of Vocational Higher Secondary Education marks for first and second year both are summed up for declaration of result and evaluation is done through grading. New scheme for evaluation and grading is continuous from academic year of 2015-16. New syllabus is restructured and it is divided into four modules. Each module got skill evaluation for maximum of 100 marks. Candidate will score higher than 50 marks will be in the list of Eligible Candidate. A certificate of school will be provided to them.
