MHA, govt. of India invited application for the post of ACIO/Grade II executive in the Ministry in December 2020 for a total of 2000 posts. IB ACIO Answer Key

Answer key and display of questions to candidates appearing in the exam is also an important part of the selection process. To bring transparency in the evaluation process answer keys are displayed to candidates before the publication of result so that they can raise objections and recruiting authority could consider if found genuine.

IB ACIO Answer keys for Tier exam along with questions have already been released on 24th February. Candidates were permitted to raise objections within the scheduled dates using the login details. As answer keys has also been released, result for the exam will be released shortly.

Cut-Off Marks

To get selected in the first round, one must fulfil the cut-off requirements fixed by the recruiting authority. Cut-off marks will be calculated out of 100 marks in Tier I exam and candidates have to score more than the cut-off marks fixed for respective category. Check category-wise details below-

Post Result Declaration Process

As selection process total 4 stages, and every candidate have to qualify each stage to get selected for the post of ACIO. After the publication of Tier II exam, candidates will be shortlisted for next round. Check what are the next stages after the publication of Tier I result provided as under-

Tier II exam- Tier II will include a Descriptive type paper. It will of total 50 marks which will include an Essay of 30 marks & English comprehension & precise writing of 20 marks). The total duration of exam will be 1 hour.    

Tier III (Interview)- Those who will qualify Tier II exam will be shortlisted for Tier III which will be an interview round. This round may includePsychometric/Aptitude Test as part of interview. Interview will be total 100 marks.  

Document Verification- Candidates qualifying interview round will be called forCharacter and Antecedent verification i.e., Document Verification. Candidates have to be ready with all the required documents as prescribed in the official notification. The list of all the documents is given here. Have a look-

  • Matric/SSC/High school certificate or equivalent bearing name and DoB of the candidate
  • Class/ Intermediate/Higher Secondary certificate or equivalent
  • Marksheet of graduation or post-graduation from a recognised university
  • Bachelor Degree/ Post graduation or provisional degree
  • EWS certificate, if applicable
  • OBC certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable)
  •  SC/ST caste certificate (if applicable)
  • NOC from the present employer (In case of already employed candidate)
  • Photograph (should be similar to the uploaded one)
  • Supporting documents related to age relaxation issued from competent authority.

The date and other details regarding document verification round will be communicated to candidates in due course. Candidates should also note that DV round will be followed by a medical examination. Once all the tiers will be conducted a final selection list will be prepared and released.

Resolution of Tie Cases

In case of tie between the combined scores in Tier I, II & III, following criteria (one after one) will be applied –

  • On the basis of Marks obtained in Tier-III
  • On the basis of Tier II marks
  • Marks in Tier-I (Normalised marks)
  • On the basis of date of birth where older candidate will be given preference
  • On the basis of order of names
