CISF Constable Tradesmen PST/PET Exam Overview
CISF is also known as Central Industrial Security Force, which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India). It is established under an Act of Parliament, “Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968 (50 of 1968)”. CISF has 10 reserve Battalions, 8 training Institutes, and 39 other organizations.
The main motive of the CISF is to provide security to some private sector units and important government buildings in Delhi also providing security to the protected persons classified as Z Plus, Z, X, Y. CISF is the only force with a customized and dedicated fire wing. The vision of CISF is “PREMIER FORCE SECURING THE NATION’S CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND ASSETS” which means the force is intended to serve the nation in form of protecting public property or the security of an individual important to the nation.

The Applications are invited for the posts of CONSTABLE (TRADESMEN) in different fields of works in the Central Industrial Security Force in the trade of Sweeper, Cobbler, Barber, Washer-man, Carpenter, Cook, Painter, Mason, Plumber, Mali & Electrician in the Level 3 of pay matrix 21,700 to 69,100/- with usual allowances admissible to the Central Government employees from time to time. CISF Constable Tradesmen PST/PET Exam Result
CISF will soon release the notification for the results of Constable Tradesmen. The authority released a notification about the E-Admit card for PST/PET Examination. After the completion of exam, the candidates will be shortlisted on the mandatory criteria and appear for the next round following with the documentation, trade and written test. The selection process will take almost a month to complete.
The result dates are however not mentioned in the detailed advertisement released by CISF. The result dates can be different for the release of results for different states. CISF Constable Tradesmen PST/PET Exam Cut Off-:
Huge number of candidates has applied for the post of Constable Tradesmen in CISF. Candidates are now waiting for the results and the cut off marks so as qualify the examination. Candidate must note that the cut off will be for the written exam and the PST/PET/DOCUMENTATION/TRADE test is qualifying in nature.
Candidate must have to pass the exam. It does not carry any maximum marks. Therefore, the candidates have to focus on the written examination, as the final selection will totally depend upon the status written examination. The written examination will be an MCQ question paper with 100 questions. The minimum qualifying marks for selection will be as under:
- UR, EWS, and Ex-servicemen: 35%
- SC/ST/OBC: 33%

CISF Constable Tradesmen PST/PET Merit List
Huge number of candidates have appeared in the PST/PET, which was the first phase of examination followed by the skill and written test. Candidates are waiting for the merit list to be announced so that they then can predict the result/selection. The Authority will update the merit list based on aggregate marks obtained in the written test by the candidate very soon. The merit list depends upon various factors i.e.-:
- Number of candidates appeared for the examination.
- Number of reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC).
- Difficulty level of paper.
- Total number of vacancy.
CISF has mentioned minimum qualifying marks for the written examination, which is 35% for the unreserved class and 33% for the reserved class. Candidates have to qualify the exams with the given marks as well as have to maintain a good score to get shortlisted for the various posts at CISF Constable Tradesmen.
CISF Constable Tradesmen PST/PET Selection Process
All the candidates who have applied for the post of Constable Tradesmen in CISF have to undergo various test under the supervision of the conduction Authority. The sequence of the recruitment process would be as follows:
- Height Bar Test

- Physical Efficiency Test
The candidates who will qualify the height bar test will be tested for physical efficiency test. Under this, the candidates have to complete 1.6km in 6 min. 30 seconds.
- Physical Standard Test
In this test, the physical standard of the candidate is tested. The candidates have to fulfill the recommended criteria for clearing the Physical Endurance Test. For more details please read the official notification.
In this round of selection, candidates have to verify the details by showing following documents-:
- Educational certificates
- Date of birth certificate.
- Domicile certificate issued by competent revenue authority.
- SC/ST, OBC and EWS Certificate, if applicable.
- The candidates must carry photo bearing identification proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card or other identity proof issued by the Government of India.
- Trade Test

- Written Test
The candidates clearing the above rounds will be shortlisted for the written examination. The written examination contains 100 MCQ questions with 100 marks and the time duration is 2 hours.
