Assam State Eligibility Test (SET) Answer Key
The test was held in two sessions (Paper I & Paper II) and the answer key of both papers is now available on the portal. Any objection from the candidate’s side related to the Assam SLET Answer Key will be received by 12th April.
Once the scrutinization process of all the answer keys will be done, the commission will prepare a panel that’ll revise the answer key and in a few days the final answer key will be published on the main website and no objections will be accepted on the final answer key.

Assam SLET Qualifying Marks
As per the official notification, if the candidates get successful in scoring the decided qualifying marks in the written test then they will be considered for the cut-off marks and might also see their name in the Assam SET 2023 merit list. The criteria for qualifying marks mentioned in the SLET Commission information brochure are given below:
- The eligibility criteria of the qualifying mark to get recruited for the Asst. professor post, the applicant who belongs to the General, General EWS Category have to score at least “40% in both parts” and applicants from the SC, ST, PWD, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PWD & Third Gender have to score at least “35% in both parts”.
- It has been decided that 6% of the candidates who appeared in the test will be declared eligible for the Asst. Professor.
- To make you understand the concept of qualifying marks, read the following example:
- If 2,00,000 applicants registered and only 1,50,000 applicants appeared in the test then 6% of the 1,50,000 candidates i.e. 9,000 applicants will be considered as eligible for the Asst. Professor post.

Assam State Eligibility Test Cut-Off Marks & Merit List
Considering the qualifying marks, the cut-off marks will be prepared by the commission authorities which will be prepared on different factors such as the total number of applicants who appear in the exam, qualifying marks, marks scored by the candidate, and the marks reserved under the Indian Reservation System.
If an applicant gets fortunate in scoring equal or more cut-off marks then their name will be added to the merit list. The merit list will contain the names of the passed candidates in descending order will be available in pdf format and can be downloaded from the SLET Commission’s main website.

Assam SLET Result Griveance
The candidates having any grievances/doubts which are related to the result are informed to send a written request to the Member Secretary SLET Commission (N.E. Region) with a Demand Draft of ₹5,000 in favour of Member Secretary, SLET Commission, drawn on SBI, Gauhati University Branch (2060) within 15 days after the publishment of result. In case, the request sent by the candidate is proved valid then the result will be cross-checked and the fee paid will be refunded to the bank account of the applicant.
