Awadesh Pratap Singh University is a public teaching-cum-affiliating institution situated in Rewa city of Madhya Pradesh State. It is an autonomous institution with its jurisdiction in 150 colleges located in Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Umariya, Singrauli and Shahdol district of the state.
APSU was established on 20th July 1968 and was named after Captain Awadhesh Pratap Singh a distinguished freedom fighter. University has around 150 colleges under its jurisdiction which include various government, aided and private affiliated colleges.
