UP University of Medical Sciences Nurses Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants for the post of Staff Nurse at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences UPUMS will have to satisfy the ensuing conditions of eligibility in order to get recruited for the said post:

• The applicant must have a degree in BSc Hons/ BSc in Nursing or B.Sc. Post-Certificate/ Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognised by the University.
• Candidates who hold a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from a recognised institution along with 2 Years of post-education Experience in a Hospital with at least 50 beds can also apply for the recruitment.

2. On the Home page, tap on the option of Recruitment of Staff Nurse.

Applicants will have to pay the application fee in online mode using the method of Net banking, Debit Cards, Credit Cards or any other, in order to be able to successfully submit the application forms. The following application fees have been announced by the authorities for different categories:

Staff Nurse Selection at UP University of Medical Sciences

The candidates who seek to get recruited will have to appear for the Common Entrance Test CET. The authorities at the University will conduct the examination as an objective paper and the candidates will be required to choose the correct answer from 4 choices. There will be 200 questions of 3 marks each and the paper will be set in English and Hindi Languages. The candidates will have to attempt the papers in 3 hours. The maximum marks they can achieve are 600. Additionally, there is a provision for negative marking and for every wrongly answered question, 1 mark will be deducted, which is 1/3rd of the weightage of the question. 170 questions will be based on the knowledge pertaining to Nursing while the rest will be about General English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Mathematics.

General, Other Backward Classes OBC, and Economically Weaker Section EWS candidates will have to score at least 50% marks in order to pass the examination. Whereas, the candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes SC and Scheduled Tribes ST will have to score at least 45% marks in the exam to qualify for the merit list.
