• The maximum age limit of candidates should be 53 years old, and the maximum age of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/ DNC and DW of all castes should be 58 years old.
• Applicants must have completed graduation with D.El.Ed of 2 years. Or,
• Must have completed graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed. Or,
• Must have completed graduation with at least 45% marks and NCTE-approved B.Ed. Or,
• Passed Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed of 4 years. Or,
• Higher Secondary and B.A./ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. Or,
• 50% marks in graduation and Special Education B.Ed and
• Must have obtained a degree in the subject chosen in the recruitment and,
• Must have passed Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper- II with a relevant optional subject.

So, the application fee is Rs. 600/- Applicants belonging to the SC, SCA, ST and PWD categories will have to pay Rs. 300/- as an application fee.
