Age Criteria
The crucial age of eligibility is 31-08-2023. All the candidates who are above 18 years and below 24 years from the crucial date of eligibility can apply for the apprentice Programme.
The duration of the training Programme for various course of trade is mentioned below:
- Technician Apprentice(Electrical/Mechanical/T&I) : One Year
- Trade Apprentices (Assistant HR/Accountant): One Year
- Data Entry Operator and Domestic Data Entry Operator: 15 months
IOCL Apprentice Selection Process
The selection for the training Programme shall be done by conducting a written test. Applicants who are up for the post need to clear an MCQ assessment in order to get enrolled for the trade.
- The duration of the written examination is of 2 Hours.
- The examination will contain 100 MCQ’s each of one mark.
- There shall be no negative marking in the examination.
- Questions will be arranged in such a way that 75 questions will be from general accounts/commerce/finance and about 25 questions on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude and General Knowledge etc.
- Relaxation of 5% is provided to the reserved class candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWDs. The minimum qualifying mark in the examination is 40%.
- Candidates have to secure good marks in order to get their name on the merit list.
