BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2023: The Border Security Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India released a notification on 30 January 2023 regarding the recruitment of a Constable (Tradesman). 1284 vacancies were released and the applications for recruitment are being invited online. The BSF will be conducting the procedures for the year 2023–24.

BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2023

The applications for the recruitment of the post of Constable (Tradesman) for both female and male candidates in Border Security Forces are being accepted online. The notification was released on 30 Jan 2023 and the last date of submission is yet to be announced. The post belongs to group C and the recruitment procedures will be conducted for the year 2023.

BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2023: Overview

BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment Vacancies

1410 vacancies have been released by the authorities of Border Security Forces for the post of Constable (Tradesman). Out of these, 1343 vacancies have been reserved for male candidates while 67 vacancies are reserved for females. The candidates will have to check the state-wise and the trade wise openings and apply against the vacant posts that are designated to their domiciled states.

Pay Scale

The pay scale for the post of Constable (Tradesman) has been decided on the pay Matrix level-3. The pay scale will be of range Rs. 21, 700-69, 100 and of 7th CPC, revise pay structure. Additionally, other allowances will be allocated depending on the Central government norms. Allowances such as ration, medical assistance, free leave pass, free accommodation, and more will be also granted.

BSF Constable Tradesman Eligibility Conditions

Only the candidates who are eligible for the posts will be shortlisted. The candidates must check all the requirements and only then apply. The border security forces do reserve the right to reject the candidature at any stage of the selection process. Hence, it is recommended that the given eligibility criteria must be observed very carefully:

• The candidate must be a resident of India.
• The candidates can only apply for one post.
• They must have passed matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Additionally, either two years of work experience in the respective field or a one-year course certificate from an Industrial Training Institute or any vocational institute that is recognised with a one-year teaching experience or two years diploma from an Industrial Training Institute in the respective field is also required.
• Candidates who are serving in government or semi-government departments will have to submit a No Objection Certificate or NOC issued by the authorities in order to be eligible to apply.
• An unemployed who is already serving in the same rank and he is receiving equal pay grade she not be eligible to apply.
• Three handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.
• Candidates of reserved categories such as Economically Weaker Section or EWS, Scheduled Castes or SC, Schedule Tribe or ST, and Other Backward Classes or OBC shall apply for the reserved vacancies only if the openings are for the category. In case there are no openings for the particular category, the candidates must apply for unreserved vacant posts.
• The candidates must also satisfy the physical and medical standards as notified by the authorities.

Age Criteria

The authorities have also fixed age criteria for the post of Constable Tradesman in Border Security Forces. The candidate must satisfy the minimum age criteria of 18 years. Those who are lesser than 18 years of age shall not be eligible. Due to reduce have also fixed the upper age limit as 25 years. However, for various candidates belonging to different categories, the upper age limit has been relaxed. The following relaxations are permissible beyond the upper age limit:

• Scheduled caste or SC and ST: up to 5 years
• Other backward classes or OBC: up to 3 years
• Candidates of Jammu and Kashmir who are domiciled during the time period from 1 January 1980 to 31 December 1989: Up to 5 years. Additionally, for the reserved categories, the relaxation will be as per the government instructions.
• Children and dependent family members of those who were killed during 1984 the riots and 2002 Gujarat communal riots: up to 5 years. Additionally, for the reserved categories, the relaxation will be as per the government instructions.

BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment Application Procedure

Interested candidates are required to apply online mode. No other mode of submission has been notified by the authorities. All the online forms must be filled out at the recruitment portal of Border Security Forces. The submissions must be made before the last date. In order to apply for the post of BSF constable tradesman, follow the given steps:

1. Open the official portal of Border Security Forces at bsf.gov.in.
2. In the main menu, tap on Recruitment to open the drop-down list.
3. Click on Recruitment Openings so as to open the official recruitment portal of Border Security Forces at rectt.bsf.gov.in.
4. On the homepage, tap on Recruitment Openings.
5. All the Current Recruitment Openings will be visible on the screen.
6. Click on Apply Here as attested to the notification Constable (Tradesman) BSF Group C 2023.
7. The application form will open up.
8. Enter the Personal Information, Address Details, Other Details, Qualification Details, Work Experience, Upload Certificates and Documents, and check the Eligibility Criteria.
9. Review the entire form before submission. The initial shortlisting of candidates will be on the basis of the submitted online application form.
10. Finally, click on Submit.

BSC Constable Tradesman Application Fee

The application fee needs to be submitted in order to finally register for the said post. This fee is non-refundable and does ensure the submission of the online form of the candidates. The BSF authorities have notified that the application fee is Rs. 100 and will have to be submitted in online mode. Net banking or credit or debit card or payments through the nearest and authorized common service centres will be accepted. However, only the candidates belonging to Unreserved or General, Economically Weaker Sections, and Other Backward Classes will have to pay the applicable fee. The following candidates are exempted from the payment of the examination fee:

• Women candidates
• Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes
• Border Security Forces Serving Personnel
• Ex-servicemen

BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment Selection Procedure

In order to select the candidates who have applied for the post, the authorities will conduct an examination and release a merit list. The first phase of the examination includes the physical standard test and the physical efficiency test. Afterwards, a trade test shall be conducted for the candidates. In the second phase of the examination, there will be a written examination for 100 marks which will include subjects of general awareness, mathematics, analytical aptitude, and basic knowledge in Hindi or in English.

The examination will be for two hours and consist of 100 questions. In the third phase of the examination, a detailed medical examination and a review medical examination will be held. Afterwards, the final merit list shall be released on the basis of which the candidates will be selected.
