The students clearing the examination will get admissions to various courses of B.F.Tech, M.F.M, B.Des, M.Des, and M.F.Tech. NIFT 2021 Exam Pattern: Weightage of CAT & GAT
Applicants appearing for the examination must know the pattern of examination so as to secure good positions in the examination. The phases of examinations are different for the courses offered by the authority. The rounds of examination conducted by the authority are GAT, CAT, GD & PI interview rounds. Read some of the important details for the General Ability Test that will be conducted by the authority. The General Ability Test is important for all the courses as to avail admission in NIFT. Applicants can appear for the examination after the completing class 12th. The level of the examination is comparatively easy as compare to the other entrance examinations. Question from the section of English, Quants, Communication ability, Analytics and General Knowledge and current affairs will be asked in the examination.

Situation Test/CAT
Candidates clearing the GAT will appear for the Situation Test or the Creative Ability Test. The authority will be giving various conditions under which the ability of the candidate will be tested. For instance, you will be provided material and out of them you have to design some creative things. The test will follow similar type of tasks. Candidate clearing the test will proceed to the next round of selection. Exam will be of 100 marks and 3 hours will be provided for the examination.
GD and PI Round
The authority the will be taking the Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the candidate clearing the first two phases of the examination. The discussion topic will be given by the authority and can be on any of the topic. The problem solving, decision taking, communication skills along with interpersonal skill will be tested. The discussion will be of 15- 20 and can also take more time which totally depends upon the topic provided.
