WBSCVT Merit List 2023 Preparation Basis
The council has divided the offered ITI trades for admission into two groups. These two groups are M Group and E Group. The preparation basis for the merit list for both these groups is different as per the required qualifications. For trades that belong to the M Group, the council prepares the merit list based on the marks of the applicants in the 10th Standard or an equivalent board examination.
Whereas, in order to prepare the merit list for trades belonging to the E Group, the council considers the marks of the applicants in the Class 8th Exam. On the basis of the marks of the aspirants in both required qualifications, the council assigns them a unique merit rank in the merit list.

The process of checking the ITI Merit List 2023 West Bengal on the official website of the council involves the following steps.
- First of all, the applicants must use the URL- https://scvtwb.in/ on their respective browsers.
- This URL will take the aspirants to the homepage of the council’s official website.
- Here, under the section for Online Admission, the applicants must search for the merit list link for ITI courses.
- After this, the aspirants must enter their login details (if asked) on the login page.
- The pdf of the merit list will be accessible to the aspirants now.
- The aspirants must find out their selection status in the merit list through their application form details.
- Lastly, the aspirants must download the merit and also obtain a hard copy of it for the upcoming counselling rounds.
West Bengal SCVT Counselling 2023
After the release of the merit list, the council will conduct the West Bengal SCVT Counselling 2023 on its official website. How will the cases of ties be resolved for the West Bengal ITI Merit List?
To resolve the cases of ties for the merit list, the council will initially give preference to the applicant with more marks in Mathematics. If the tie case is still not resolved then the marks in the Science subject followed by the age of the applicant (older applicant will be preferred) will be considered.
