About Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are a school system running under the control of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. These schools are affiliated to CBSE Board and are managed and controlled by an autonomous body named as Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

NVS is aimed to grant admissions to talented children coming from the rural areas of the country. Admissions in class VI and IX are made on the basis of entrance test known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The test is conducted every year and lakhs of candidates fill the application and appear for it. Candidates have to secure marks above than the set cut-off marks to qualify the test.

JNVST Cut off Marks 2019

Cut off marks are the minimum marks that a candidate is required to qualify a particular exam. Candidates scoring marks above the cut off marks indicate that they have cleared the exam and vice-versa.

Cut off marks are set by the conducting authority for every exam and thus every competitive exam has different cut off marks. Cut off marks mainly depends on the number of candidates appeared in the exam, number of seats/vacancies available, level of difficulty of the exam and marking scheme. All these factors together help in deciding the cut-off marks for a particular exam.

The actual cut-off marks for 2019 of both classes may vary from the cut off gave above. The cutoff marks for class 6th and 9th for the year 2019 will depend upon the number of candidates appeared in the test, difficulty level of the test, number of seats in the school, and marking scheme.

The cut off marks for both the classes is expected to increase this year. This is because the MHRD, Govt. of India has increased the number of seats from 46,600 to 51,000 for the academic session 2019-2020.

  1. Sir/mam, Har subject me – uske total marks me se 33 % marks laana compulsory hn na.
    – aur Sir, 33 % marks hi. har subject ke qualifying marks hn na. Confirm .
