The authorities for Common Entrance Test in Maharashtra are allotting vacant seats to law students. The procedure for admission into the government and participating colleges in the state is collectively governed by them. The MHT CET Law Cell conducted a common examination for entrance to the course of Law. Different exams are conducted for both 3 years LLB and 5 years Law (Integrated). The result of the exams are out and the authorities are preparing for the Counselling procedures.

MHT CET LAW Counseling Registration 2023

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law has been conducted separately for 3 Years of LLB and 5 years of Integrated Law. The candidates who appeared for the exams received the result on 10 and 12 September for 5 years and 3-year courses respectively.

Ever since the result was released, the candidates are waiting for the commencement of the Counselling procedure. The registrations for the Counselling procedure for the 5-year and 3 year integrated program of LLB is open now. The candidates have to register for the counselling before the end dates.

Registration for CET Law Counselling 2023

The candidates who attempted the examination and have a valid and qualifying result in it can apply for counselling. All the procedures will be carried out in online mode. Refer to the following steps in order to register for Counselling:

1. Visit the official portal of Common Entrance Test cell of Maharashtra at cetcell.mahacet.org.
2. On the home page, look out for “Higher Education” section.
3. In the menu, click on “LL.B – 5Years (Integrated)/ LL.B. – 3 Years”.
4. A portal with related information will open up. Click on “Login”.
5. A Login form will open up asking for the login credentials of the registered applicants. The applicants need to enter the details obtained at the time of registration.
6. Enter the Login ID and the Password.
7. Press “Login”.
8. In the User Dashboard, Select “Registration for CET Law Counselling 2023”.
9. Enter all the required details in the registration form.
10. Select a list of colleges in decreasing order of preference of colleges.
11. Lock the final choices and press “Submit”.

Maha CET Law Merit List

The authorities will release Merit Lists after the candidates locked their choices. Once the entire application procedure for the Seat Allocation is complete, the authorities will release an Alphabetical Merit List. The candidates can submit grievances on the same. The cell will consider the received grievances and then publish a final merit list.

The allocation and admission of candidates in colleges for Allotment Round 1 will be based on this list. The dates for this procedure are very different for both courses.

CET Law Allotment for Round I

The Round I Allotment will commence after the publication of the Final Merit List online. The candidates will have to appear for counselling if they wish to accept the allocated seats. The final choices need to be made if they wish to not accept the assigned colleges. Candidates can choose to exit the admission process. If the students accept the seat, they will have to visit the allotted college and get admitted by submitting the fee.

Prior to that, they need to pay the seat acceptance fee which will be further adjusted in the admission fee. Those who wish to not accept the college seat will enter the second round if they choose to do so.
