JEECUP 2023 Counselling
As mentioned earlier on the page, counselling will not be over in one round only. The rounds of counselling will depend on the number of available seats. Admission seekers will be called for online counselling for admission to polytechnic courses based on the merit list. As the applicants already know that the authorities release a merit list along with the result of JEECUP. The rank of the candidate in the merit list depends on his performance in exam and the marks he has scored. Counselling of the candidates will be done based on their rank on the merit list.

Candidates must have a good rank to get the preferred institute. However, the number of available seats and choice of a stream also play an important role as a decision-maker in the allotment of the seats to the applicants. Now let’s understand how the counselling process will start;
JEECUP 2023 Counselling Process
For a better understanding, we can divide the counselling process into the following steps; Online Registration, Choice Filling, Document Verification, the announcement of seat allotment result and fee submissions, and the final report to the assigned college or institute. Here is the detail of these steps;
Online Registration
Candidates will have to visit the official website of JEECUP and register there. For this, the admission seekers will have to log in to the website with a registration id and password. The applicants will have to pay the counselling registration fee. The fee payment can be done through online transactions or with debit or credit card.
Choice Filling
After registering on the website, candidates will have to fill in their choice in terms of course and college. Remember that here you are just filling the choice. You may allot a seat here or not; it depends on various other factors too. The officials give preference to the candidates with a higher rank on merit list. Candidates are free to mention more than two, three or more choices in the choice filling.
Document Verification
At the time of admission, the admission seekers will have to show their documents related to their age, educational qualification, residence, and nationality, and to get the benefits given to the applicants from reserved categories. At this time it is a must to show the original documents. Applicants can show their 10th class mark sheet and certification to prove their DOB and domicile as proof of residence. In case any candidate could not show the original documents, then he will not be considered to allot a seat, and his registration will get cancelled. It must show all the supporting documents to get the benefits of reservation.
Seat Allotment
The authorities will release seat allotment result online. Candidates can check from the official website of JEECUP. If a candidate is fine with the allotted seat, then he will have to pay the fee else to wait for another seat allotment result and avoid this one.
Fee Submission
Candidates will have to pay the security fee to claim the allotted seat. After this, download the seat allotment letter is available on the website. To get the letter admission seeker will have to log in on to JEECUP website and get it from his user account. The fee submission process is also known as freeze the seat, so don’t be confused with this term.
Report to the College
After confirming the seat by paying the fee, candidates will have to report to the allotted college with seat allotment letter. It is a must to report to the assigned college within the given time frame to complete the formalities to get admission here else you will lose the seat and the paid application fee.
