Ravichandran Ashwin Early Life
The player was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is currently living in West Mambalam, Chennai. His father’s name was Ravichandran. He also played cricket at Club Level and was a fast bowler. The player completed his studies at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and St. Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School.
After his schooling, he decided to study B.Tech in Information Technology. He got successful in getting a degree from the SSN College of Engineering. As per the player, his cricket career mostly take a lift when he was studying in St. Bede. They had a cricket academy and Ashwin used to practice there. He also states that C. K. Vijay and Chandra have played a very crucial role in his career and the reason behind his changes in bowling style.

After his incredible performance in the 2010 IPL, he got selected for the Indian squad that was touring Zimbabwe in May – June 2010. On 5th June 2010, he made his debut in ODI against Sri Lanka where he managed to score 38 in 32 balls and took 2/50. However, the team did not win the series. Later on, he made his T20I debut and help India to victory. He was also selected for the tri-series but remained on the seat for most of the series.
In November-December 2010, Ravi Ashwin played five matches in the home series and become the leading wicket-taker. In spite of the success, he did not get the chance to play in five ODIs. Although, he did get the position of a 15-member World Cup team with Harbhajan Singh and Piyush Chawla. Ashwin also became the second-highest wicket-taker in England series held in October 2011 after Jadeja.

Ashwin made his Test debut and earned a cap from one of the best cricketers in the world i.e., Sachin Tendulkar. He also managed to get the Man of the Match award. In 2012 during the 1st Test Ashwin become the fastest Indian to get 50 wickets in the Test series but the team did not manage to win the series. Ashwin took three wickets in the ODI series against Pakistan and seven wickets against England in the ODI series. After the series, Ashwin worked with his childhood coach named Sunil Subramaniam and changed his bowling style before the Test Series against Australia.
During the freedom Trophy Test Series in November 2015, Aswin remains the star performer. He also became the first fastest Indian bowler to reach 150 wickets in Test cricket during the same series. The player was also named 12th person in the World test XI by the ICC because of his performance in 2015. In 2016, he took 27 wickets in the Test against New Zealand Tour. As a result, he was again named in the World test XI by Cricinfo as well as ICC.

Ashwin was in a relationship with his childhood friend named Prithi Narayanan for a long time. After a long time, they finally decided to get together. They got married on 13th November 2011. They both welcomed two children named Akhira and Aadhya. As you know Ashwin was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu only. So, Tamil Nadu Election Commission also used Ashwin to aware the citizens of the states.
