The auction for the players in the IPL 2023 tournament will be held in December 2022. However, before this, the authorities of the Indian Premier League provided the opportunity to the IPL teams to retain some of their players in their team. The teams were given the deadline of 15th of November, 2022 to retain their players for the tournament to be held in the year 2023. According to the official website of the IPL authority, a total of 163 players have been retained by the teams till the deadline. According to the officials of the Rajasthan Royals Team, Sanju Samson has been named as the captain of the franchise Rajasthan Royals 2023. His original name is Sanju Vishwanath Samson and is a Right Handed Batsman with the skills of a wicket-keeper. Apart from this, the star batter was born on the 11th of November, 1994 and made his debut in the Indian Premier League in the year 2013. In his debut season, he impressed the fans with his gritty performance in the IPL. It is believed that this wicketkeeper batter was trained by the prominent batsman of India Rahul Dravid.
Sanju has a decent record in the IPL.In the IPL season held in the year 2019, he scored around 342 runs and afterwards in the year 2020, he scored a total of 375 runs in the particular season.
