Budgeting for Char Dham Yatra

The pilgrims can choose to take the pilgrimage via bus, personal vehicle, by air, or on foot. It is totally up to them how they choose to take the yatra. The government has made necessary arrangements and the tour of Char Dham which took 12 days on a usual basis can now be completed in 5 days. The budget also depends on the same. The luxuries, mode of transportation, stay options, the number of pilgrims, food preferences, starting point, and all the other factors influence the budgeting.

If the lowest estimate is considered where the yatri tries reaching each temple on foot from the respective points and opts to rake public transport, chooses the most inexpensive and decent stay, and minimises unnecessary expenses, they can complete the pilgrimage in a budget of Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000 per person.
