WBJEE 2023 Registration: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) has announced that the WBJEE 2023 exam will be held on April 30th, 2023. However, the said date is tentative and could be changed. In order to appear for the examination the applicants need to register online. The online registration window for WBJEE 2023 will start on 23rd December 2022 and available till 20th January 2023.

WBJEE is a State Level entrance test conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, Kolkata for admission of candidates into Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and architectural programs in various private/government universities and colleges of West Bengal.

Citizenship

• Applicants must be Indian citizens or OCI

Age Criteria

• Lower age limit- Candidate must of 17 years of age as of 31^st December 2023. A candidate should have been born before or on 31^st December 2006.
• Upper age limit- No upper age limit is there for the WBJEE
• However, for the Marine Engineering course (Degree Level)- Lower age should be 17 years as of 31^st December 2023 and upper age limit should be 25 years.

Qualification Criteria

For Engineering Courses

• Candidates must qualify 10+2 in regular mode with Mathematics and Physics along with any of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subject with individual pass marks in all the three subjects stated above from a recognized Board.
• Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates) in all three subjects (mentioned above) taken together.
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 30% marks in English.
• Those who are appearing for 10+2 may also register themself.

For Pharmacy Courses

• Candidates must have qualified 10+2 in regular mode with Chemistry and Physics along with any of Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subject with individual pass marks in all the three subjects stated above from a recognized Board.
• Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates) in all three subjects (mentioned above) taken together.
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 30% marks in English.

Submit WBJEE 2023 Application Online

• Candidates can fill out WBJEE 2023 application forms only through online mode.
• Candidates are advised not to attempt duplicate registration.
• Candidates should upload a scanned copy of a passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• Candidates must submit the application forms before the last date.
• Candidates must ensure that they fill in all the details correctly in the form. In case if any candidate has filled in the wrong details, then he/she can make a correction in the form within the correction window period.
• Candidates must take a printout of the filled-in application form and confirmation form for future reference.

Documents to be uploaded

While submitting the online application students need to upload some of their documents as per the size mentioned below for each document.

• Photograph: 10 to 200 KB
• Signature: 4 to 30 KB
• Documents (certificate/Marksheet): 50 to 300 KB

WBJEE 2023 Application Fee

• The application fee for WBJEE 2023 is Rs.500/-. for general candidates
• Candidates from reserved category SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B need to submit Rs 400/-
• Applicants can make payment of application fee through debit/credit card/ net banking or through Allahabad bank e-Challan.
• The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

WBJEE 2023 Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for WBJEE 2023 is as follows-

• WBJEE 2023 will be an OMR-based examination (Offline mode).
• There will be two papers in this exam- Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Chemistry and Physics).
• The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
• The question paper will be consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
• There will be three categories of questions in each subject.
• Applicant must answer their marks with black/blue pen only
• For every incorrect response, the 1/4th mark will be deducted.

• In Category-I only one option is correct.
• In Category II only one option is correct.
• In Category III one or more options are correct

Chemistry

WBJEE 2023 Entrance Exam Centers

WBJEE 2023 exam is expected to be conducted in the various districts of West Bengal. Below is the district-wise list of examination zones.

• Examination centres will be allocated to the applicants on the basis of their choices.
• No request for a change in exam centre will be entertained under normal circumstances.
