Uttar Pradesh Service Selection Commission (UPPSC) has re-advertised A-3/E-1/2023 recruitment posts of Staff Nurses (Male and Female). The UPPSC Staff Nurse Recruitment 2023 application forms will be available online from 21 August onwards. Meanwhile, those who fulfil the eligibility criteria may submit their application before its deadline, i.e. 29 September 2023. Applications from suitable candidates are invited online. Applicants have to submit their applications from the official website of UPPSC. A total of 2240 vacant posts of Staff Nurses in the Medical and Health Services Department and Medical Education and Training Department of the State Government will be filled by the UPPSC. After the due date, no application forms will be accepted.

UPPSC Staff Nurse Recruitment Eligibility  

• Only Male candidates are eligible.
• Married candidates having more than one wife are not eligible to apply.
• The minimum age of the applicants should be 21 years and must not be more than 40 years of age as on 1^st July 2023. Relaxation in the upper age of the reserved category candidates is also applicable.
• Applicants must have passed class 10^th exam with Science and Intermediate from a recognised Board.
• They must also hold a Diploma in GNM or B.Sc. Nursing degree or Diploma in Psychiatry from a recognised and registered institute.
• They must be registered as a nurse or psychiatrist under U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council or registered as Nurses and Midwives by a competent authority i.e., U.P. Nurses and Midwives Council

• Stage I-  Start by opening the official website of UPPSC
• Stage II- Click on the Staff Nurse Recruitment link given under the Activity Dashboard.
• Stage III- Click on the Apply Link option given against the Staff Nurse Exam option.   
• Stage IV- Read the instructions and click on the Register link.
• Stage V- Complete the registration process and save the registration details.
• Stage VI- Now, log in to fill out the application form. Fill in all the details and upload the necessary documents.
• Stage VII-  Pay the application fee through the respective module.
• Stage VIII- After successful payment and submission of the application form print the fee receipt and application form confirmation page.

Correction in UPPSC Staff Nurse Application

After submitting the application forms, in case any applicant comes to know that there is an error(s) in the application particular then he can modify the detail. Candidates are given an opportunity to modify details other than the name of the examination, type of recruitment, email, Aadhaar number, and registered mobile number.

In case applicants have committed mistakes in the aforesaid entries then they can submit a fresh application. For this, they have to submit the application as paid in the first application process. Modification in application details is to be done only after logging into the UPPSC portal. Candidates have to click on “Modify Submitted Application” option given on their dashboard and make necessary corrections. Candidates will be given only one opportunity to modify the application details.

UPPSC Staff Nurse Recruitment Selection Process

The selection of candidates is based on a two-stage selection examination. The details are as follows-

Preliminary Examination- The primary selection of candidates will be based on the preliminary examination. The schedule of prelims will be notified in due course. Candidates can check the examination pattern of the prelims shared as under-

• Types of Questions- Objective Type
• Total No. of Questions- 170 questions
• Total Marks- 85 marks
• Duration of Exam- 2 hours (120 min)
• Sections- Three

Main Examination

After the prelims, those who will pass the exam will be shortlisted for the Main examination. Only the qualified candidates who will meet the merit criteria will be selected for Mains.  After the publication of the Main exam result, further selection procedures will be followed.
