The National Entrance Screening Test 2023 application forms have been released by the officials. The candidates seeking admission to the 5 years integrated program of MSc (2023-28) can fill up the application form for NEST 2023. Moreover, the applicants can start filling up the application form commencing from the 27th of February, 2023. The last date to fill up the application form is the 24th of May, 2023. The applications will be accepted via online mode.

Number of Intake in NEST 2023 Exam

The total proposed intake for the session 2023 to 2028 is 257. The proposed seats in the NISER are 200 and the rest 57 are for CEBS. Eligibility Criteria for NEST 2023

The applicants who want to fill up the application form for the NEST examination 2023 are suggested to go through the educational qualification requirements as well as the age criteria. Without fulfilling any of the below criteria, the applicants would not be able to appear for the examination.

Educational Qualification

The candidates applying for this examination are required to have passed their XIth and XIIth examinations through the regular mode in the science stream only. In addition to this, the candidates should also have passed their 12th examinations in the year 2021 or else in 2022. Apart from this, the applicants can also be a student who is appearing for the board examination in the year 2023. Talking about the percentage required, the applicant should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in total.

Furthermore, the candidates belonging to the reserved categories are required to have a score of a minimum of 55% marks in their 12th examination. At last, the candidate should have passed from a recognized board.

Age Criteria

The age criteria are also required to be fulfilled by the candidates. Therefore the applicants who are born on the 1st of August, 2003 or after this particular date are eligible to apply for the vacancies. It should be noted that the candidates must be from the OBC or General Category for the age requirement mentioned. For the candidates hailing from the ST, SC or the Divyangjan category, they will be provided with the age relaxation of 5 years.

How to Apply for NEST 2023?

As the Online application link is active now, therefore the applicants can go through the below steps and then can apply for the NEST 2023 application form. The steps are as given below:

1. To initiate the process, the applicant has to open the official website through the address here >>https://www.nestexam.in/
2. Now the homepage will be there on the computer screen.
3. On the homepage itself, there will be an option for ‘Online Application’.Click on that link.
4. Now the applicant has to register first if applying for the first time.
5. Fill in the basic details such as their name, a valid mobile number and email id. Click on the ‘Reverify’ option and then click on the checkbox if the information is stated correctly.
6. After successful registration, the applicants will receive an application id and password on their phone number as well as in their email id.
7. Login again with these credentials.
8. Now fill in the educational details along with exam city preference.
9. Upload the scanned photo and signature according to the below-mentioned specifications.
10. Pay the application fees and then submit the application form. Also, it is advisable to download the filled-in application form and take the printout of that with them for future use.

Prior Documents Required

• A scanned copy of a passport-size coloured photo and also of the signature is required. The format of those files should be in jpg or jpeg format and their size should be not more than 80 kb. Keep in mind that the scanned photo should be on a white background and should be a recent one.

The candidates first have to appear for a computer-based test of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Afterwards, according to their performance in the written examination, a merit list will be prepared and the candidates will be allotted colleges according to it.
