Uttarakhand NMMS Admit Card 2023: The National Means cum Merit Scholarship is awarded to deserving young students based on their scholastic ability. There is one lakh scholarship for students nationwide. The students must go through an examination to qualify for the scholarship assistance. The exam will be conducted state-wise, and for the state of Uttarakhand, the exam will be held on 8th December 2024. To appear in it, the applicants must carry their Uttarakhand NMMS Admit Card 2023 once issued to them.

The students can download the UK NMMS admit card from the official SCERT portal of Uttarakhand. They need to follow the following steps to do so:

  1. Visit the official web portal of Uttarakhand SCERT at scert.uk.gov.in.
  2. On the home page check the “News Release” section and spot the link for releases “Regarding NMMSS”.
  3. Click on the running link in the section.
  4. A new page will be displayed with additional links. Click on “NMMSS/SNSS/SMSS Application Form (Amended)”.
  5. A notification with the attached form and admit card will open up as a pdf file.
  6. Scroll down to the end of the document. The admit card will be attached to the application form.

Uttarakhand NMMS Exam 2023

The National Means cum Means Scholarship aims at providing financial assistance to needy candidates all across the country. Its main objective is to help young students pursue higher education and reduce the number of dropout cases at high school and further at the senior school level. Education is the only way to help economically backward citizens achieve better hope for the future and empower them in society. Thus, the Ministry of Education in India introduced the NMMS to help students overcome any obstacle that might overstep their educational journey.

The NMMS or National Means cum Merit Scholarship is a national-level scholarship for students belonging to backward economic classes. This scholarship will be awarded to eligible candidates based on their scores achieved in the NMMS Exam 2023. The Exam for this scholarship will be conducted for students in Class VIII on 8th Dcember 2023 in Uttarakhand.

NMMS Examination Pattern

The students can submit the final application before the scheduled date. This exam will be for students of Class VIII studying in Government aided schools and have scored at least 40% marks in Class VII final examinations. The students must attempt a 200 marks paper comprising two sections MAT and SAT. MAT or Mental Ability Test judges the mental strength of the students, whereas the SAT or Scholastic Aptitude Test checks the educational knowledge of the candidate. These two sections are of 100 marks each and the examination, although is a pen and paper test but comprises Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs. The students will be awarded one mark for every correct answer.

NMMS Scholarship

100000 Scholarships will be awarded to meritorious students of India. 1048 of these scholarships will be allotted to students in Uttarakhand. The students whose parents earn less than Rs. 1,50,000 per year and who clear the exam will be able to get benefits. The students will receive financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 per month in classes IX to XII. The money will be transferred into the bank accounts of the selected students through a safe and secure window by the method of DBT or Direct Bank Transfer. This will reduce the cases of financially weak students dropping out in senior classes.
