OPSC Civil Services Mains Admit Card 2023: OPSC has announced the Odisha Civil Service Mains Exam Date. As per the notice released on 4th Jan 2023, the exam will commence on 21st Feb 2023 and will conclude on 10th March 2023 (except the 7th and 8th march exams will be conducted on all dates). Only those candidates are eligible for this examination who have been shortlisted for this. The Odisha Public Service Commission conducted the preliminary level exam for the vacant posts on 16th October 2022. This exam was well attended and finally, the result is out. the result was published by the OPSC on 8th December 2022. A number of candidates qualified for the preliminary exam and will be appearing for the Mains exam that will be held in February and March 2023. The OPSC conducts examinations in two levels preliminary and mains followed by interviews.

The candidates who will clear all three levels will be successfully appointed as an official since they cleared the Civil Services examination. The next step for the candidates who cleared the first level is to prepare for the next level, that is, the Mains exam.

Odisha Civil Services Exam 2023

The OPSC conducts the exam for Civil Services in three levels. The first and foremost is the Preliminary examination. This is a written examination of two papers of 200 marks each. The time allotted to complete per paper is 2 hours. All the questions are of MCQ type, that is, Multiple Choice Questions. The candidates who clear the Preliminary level have to appear in the next level which is Mains.

However, the Mains examination is much tough since the selected candidates are required to attempt nine papers of duration of 3 hours each. The compulsory papers are papers I to V where the candidate has no choice. They have to attempt each and every paper and these papers combine for 1400 marks. The next four papers offer choices to the candidates. They can select the subject of their preference and appear for the exam. These papers are of 1200 marks in total. The candidates who clear the cut-off and get selected have to appear for the Personality Test or the Interview round. Those who clear all three rounds finally make it to the vacant official post under Civil Services.

In order to appear for the Mains exam, the candidates need to possess the admit card or hall ticket. Admit card is a vital document that proves the candidature of the appearing aspirant. The candidates need to have this card while appearing for the examination. It is checked right at the entrance of the examination. The candidates need to refer to the admit card to know about the subjects and examination centres.

The admit card for the Mains examination will be distinct from the Preliminary papers. The candidates who will fail to show the admit card or the hall ticket at the time of the examination might not be allowed to appear for the examination. Hence, the admit card is very important.

Download OPSC Civil Services Mains Admit Card

The candidates need to download and further print the admit card in order to show it in the examination hall at the time of the exam. A virtual admit card might not be accepted by the invigilator hence it is advised to download and print the admit card. The candidates can download the admit card once it will be available. To do so, follow the given procedure:

  1. Open the official Odisha Public Service Commission portal at opsc.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage of the portal, click on the option for “Login”.
  3. A login form will appear on the page. Enter the login credentials generated at the time of registration.
  4. Enter the Captcha code and refresh the caption if it is difficult to read. The captcha is case-sensitive, hence the candidates need to observe the capital letters. If the wrong captcha is entered, they will have to refill the form.
  5. Click on “Submit”.
  6. The user dashboard will open up for the already registered users.
  7. For the candidates who have cleared the examination, the admit card will be available on the user dashboard. Click on “Download”.
  8. The admit card will be downloaded. View the admit card on the files and print by tapping on the print icon.
