Pune University is a state-level university. The university offers residential cum academic facilities to the students. Pune University PG Admission 2020: Eligibility Criteria

It is important for the admission seekers to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the admission in the Pune University. Here we have compiled the information about the eligibility criteria to get admission in different courses offered by the SPPU;

• For M.A.: To apply to get admission in Masters in Arts in any stream the candidates must have completed the Bachelors’ Degree with minimum 45% marks from a UG approved university.  For admission in MA Sanskrit, the Bachelor’s Degree should be in Sanskrit, Prakrit & Pali.
• For M. Sc: To get admission in M. Sc in any stream the minimum requirement is Graduation with the same or relevant stream with minimum 50% marks.
• For LLM: The applicant must have completed graduation in law discipline from a recognized University.
• For MCA: The applicant must have done graduation with 50% marks and 10+2 with mathematics.
• For MHM: The applicant must have completed MBBS.
• For MDS: the candidate must have done BDS.
• For All Other Subjects: The applicant must have done graduation.

Applicants can get admission in Pune University in above mentioned courses through the entrance or non-entrance procedure. Like to get admission in MA in Philosophy, the admission seekers need to qualify in the entrance or interview cum presentation test.

To get admission in MCA, candidates must qualify the entrance examination conducted by the university. Admission in courses like MA, LLM, M.L.I.Sc., M.Com and M.Sc. is done on the basis of entrance test.

Pune University Admission 2020: MBA, MMM, MBS, MPM, MCM

The university also offers admission professional PG courses such as MBA, MPM, and others. The minimum eligibility to get admission in PG course is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. To get admission on MBA the applicant will have to appear in ATMA and based on candidates’ marks a merit list will be prepared.

To get admission in MBA Biotechnology the applicant will have to take the national level entrance test or Entrance test and GD & PI conducted by PUMBA. For admission in Master of Personnel Management, the applicant will have to take the written test and then based on the merit list the admission will be offered.     

Pune University also offers admission to in M.Sc. in twenty-two specializations. Here students can get admission to M. Tech in seven specializations and in ME in eight specializations. The eligibility criteria to get admission in ME is BE, M. Tech is B. Tech and M. Sc is B. Sc in the relevant stream. 

In M. Tech and M.E., the admission seekers get admission on the basis of their score in the GATE examination. The admission in M. Sc. will be offered on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam conducted by the Pune University.

1. Visit the official website of the university and click on the admission portal.
2. Here you will get a link to get admission in PG courses, click on it.
3. A new page will appear on your screen. You will have to login or sign up to select your department here for the PG course.
4. If you are new then register here by filling the given form with all the asked details. After the completion of the signup process, you will get user manual and FAQs on your mail-id.
5. Now login and click on the Pre-Admission tab. And fill a new application carefully.
6. Upload photograph and click on Save and Proceed.
7. Now pay the application fees via credit/debit card.
8. Take a print out of the application form and fee payment receipt.
9. Post the application and university challan copy to Head, Concerned Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganesh Khind Road, Pune 411007.
