Eligibility Criteria for Punjab D.El.Ed 2022
- Academic Qualification: Aspirants belonging to the General category must be passed 12th standard, or it’s equivalent and must have 50% marks and 45% of marks for SC/ ST category candidates. In case aspirants who are appearing for the 12th class exam can also apply for admission.
- Age Criteria: The maximum age of applicants must be 36 years. There are five years of relaxation for reserved category aspirants.

Punjab 2022 D.El.Ed Selection Procedure
Officials will not conduct any examination to select eligible applicants for admission. Admission will be totally based on the merit list. The selection list will be announced as a result by authorities for candidates. Higher authorities will shortlist applicants on the basis of their 12th marks. 5% of relaxation in marks will be given to reserved category aspirants. After the selection of candidates, officials will conduct a counselling process.
The merit list will be prepared by officials on the basis of marks obtained by aspirants in the 10+2 standard. So there is a chance of that candidate who has higher marks in the 12th class. The merit list will be uploaded by authorities on the official portal. Applicants can download the merit list and check their names on it. If his/ her name is present on a merit list, then the applicant is eligible to attend the next process i.e. counselling round.

Tie-Breaking Rules
With the help of tie-breaking rules, officials will select more eligible candidates between two or more. Tie-breaking rules are needed when there are same marks of two or more applicants. Check the rules given below.
- Rule Number 1: If there is a tie between two or more applicants, then preference will be given to that candidate who is older in age.
- Rule Number 2: If a tie still exists, then authorities will prefer those aspirants who have higher marks in the 10th class.
Seat Allotment/ Counselling Procedure
There are possibilities that officials will conduct online counselling for all shortlisted aspirants. Authorities will organize three rounds of counselling for candidates. For counselling, applicants need to fill out the form and select the colleges according to their category. The seat will be allocated on the basis of the merit list. Aspirants need to carry all the relevant documents at the time of the seat allotment process. Private Colleges Seat Allotment
Aspirants who want to take admitted to private colleges must read this section. Private institutions have a policy in which 60% of seats will be allotted on the basis of a merit list, and 40% of seats will be fulfilled by concerned colleges. These concerned institutions have to take permission from SCERT officials for 40% of seat allocation.

Till now there is no such official notification regarding the application form. But soon officials will release the form for all interested aspirants. For the general category application fee is 600 rupees and for SC/ ST category the fee is 300 INR.
